Sarcastic, bitter, angry. All are words one might use to characterize vlad's post, but irrational? Now which part of vlad's post was irrational you say? Is it his theory that Obama supported the overthrow of Mubarak, a trusted long time US ally, from Egypt? Is it his theory that as a direct result the MB has risen to power there? Is that what you say is irrational? Or maybe its that other north african country, Libya. Maybe his theory that Obama engaged the US in an illegal war there is irrational? For did it not happen? Perhaps his theory that the US embassies in both countries were mercilessly attacked by MB/AQ thugs burning american flags is just a theory; a temporary glitch caused by his irrational brain. For did it not happen? Maybe its the part where Obama is now arming similar forces hostile to us/israeli interest in Syria. Or maybe I'm way off. Maybe it's his theory that Obama's reelection emboldens Islamic terrorists. While that theory may be the one thing he posted that is still a theory, there is ample evidence one may use to come to the rational conclusion that the president of the United States and his middle east policies actually have an effect on the events on the ground. Shocking you say? But irrational?

I know, it was "when his beloved MB in Egypt will hit Israel." What insanity! Mohammad Morsi, the president of Egypt, a great promulgator of peace and democracy and human rights (DISCLAIMER: MORE SARCASM, NOT IRRATIONALITY) was quoted yesterday as saying "israel must stop its aggression or face the full fury of the Egyptian people."

You know what is truly irrational? you know what is truly impotent? Is when normally intelligent americans and other citizens of the world take the words and actions by extremist murderous islamic terrorist thugs such as the recently deceased Hamas military chief and iranian president (to name a few) as nothing more than "blowing off steam".

To take their threats of wiping Israel off the map to mean anything but exactly what they say is what i like to call, irrational.

Have a good day.

Wow, Brian, please keep your head down and stay safe. I'm only about 10 miles from you but I didn't hear any siren or explosion. The first I knew of it was my daughter in Gush Etzion calling me in a panic asking if I was OK. I thought she'd gone mad. Then I heard the news headlines...

I've just had that discussion that I hoped we'd never have: where will go to in the event of a missile attack. We've decided to take our chances with the crazy neighbours and head to the bomb shelter downstairs. We have no safe room in our flat (the building is over 25 years old). My son just went downstairs to unlock the shelter to save time just in case. My inlaws are quite infirm and have a carer. There is no way they could make it out of their flat and down to the shelter within 3 minutes if at all. We decided they'd take shelter in their corridor outside the bathroom - no outside walls, and a reinforced concrete ceiling. Here's hoping these preparations are all in vain.

If it gets seriously bad I'm heading out to my daughter in the Shomron (Samaria, aka West Bank). I reckon it's safest there.

It's crazy isn't it. It reminds me of the run-up to the Gulf War I and the scuds.

Well, Zi-, you're absolutely right that I do not like Vlad's post(s). But while I don't obviously know him, it does seem to me that he must be dealing with some personal anger management issues, so it might be best to leave well enough alone. I'm perfectly willing to engage with others who have opposing political views (for example, you) but I'm not anxious to enter into the psychotic world of the irrational. Sorry.

Hmm.. gee... what a hard question. Why Hamas feels emboldened? Yes, really a hard question.

Could be because a certain guy who toppled some regimes across North Africa and soon Syria, and allowed MB and AQ to take power, was reelected in US?

Nope. Could not be. For one, that certain guy just love to kiss Saudi king hand as a hobby and to let his people die in embassies while denying them help. Second, Brian of London just apologized to this brilliant guy because of some statement.

When his beloved MB in Egypt will hit Israel, I'll come to this site to read the comments.
