If Bibi felt this transanction was a threat to Israel, I believe he would make his feelings known publicly. Tanks and planes can be used against armed terrorists planning military incursions from the Sinai into Israel. I do believe this is exactly what the Israeli government has justifiably asked Morsi to do.

It’s worth noting that Morsi’s PhD from the University of Southern California was in mechanical engineering. So he doesn’t have the relevant scholarly credentials to speak on this subject that Mahmoud Abbas does. Abbas earned his doctoral degree from Moscow’s Patrice Lumumba U in “Jewish Studies,” focusing on the close collaboration of Jews and Nazis and on Holocaust denial/minimalization.

Military jets and tanks are not well-suited for repressing dissident civilians; they are very well-suited for doing battle with other military forces, as they did in ’73, and before that in ’67.

I haven’t heard Bibi complain about it yet. History tells us that the Egyptian military is more likely to use the military hardware supplied by the U.S. to keep it’s own people in line. Not a good thing long-term, either, but this decision makes a lot more sense than the rightwing talking heads are allowing for. The weapons might even be used against terrorists who threaten Morsi’s interests as well as America’s and Israel’s.
