Let’s Play A Game Called “Spot The CNN Anti-Israel Bias”

Every piece of CNN crap is filled with anti Israel bias.

Here’s the latest one, reporting on Ariel Sharon’s recent – somewhat positive – response to stimuli in Soroka Hospital. Things start off fairly well, with actual reporting going on.

Comatose for seven years, Israel’s iconic former Prime Minister Ariel Sharon is showing “significant brain activity.”

The 84-year-old suffered a devastating stroke January 4, 2006, and a brain hemorrhage. He was presumed to be in a vegetative state. But on Monday, a team of surprised neuroscientists and doctors said Sharon’s brain appeared to respond when they showed him pictures of his family and had him listen to his son’s voice. Doctors also used tactile stimuli to measure Sharon’s reaction.

It turns south once CNN decides to let it’s readers know a bit more about Sharon:

As minister of defense in 1982, he orchestrated Israel’s invasion of Lebanon, a military operation that killed hundreds of Lebanese civilians as Israeli forces sought to wipe out Palestine Liberation Organization fighters in the region.

His visit in September 2000 to a holy site in Jerusalem — known to Muslims as the Noble Sanctuary and to Jews as the Temple Mount — set off clashes between Palestinians and Israelis that developed into the Second Intifada, or uprising. Several months later, voters elected him as prime minister by the largest margin of victory in Israeli history.

Sought to wipe out? 3 years later, Arafat and his PLO terrorists were boarding a ship to Tunisia. As for the 2nd intifada lie, even the wicked witch of the PA, Suha Arafat, admitted it was preplanned.

Lastly, I would like to quote CNN’s paragraph on the single most important Israeli action towards peace with the Palestinians, after the signing of the Oslo accords. The unilateral Israeli disengagement from Gaza, spearheaded by Ariel Sharon:

There isn’t any.

  1. And CNN markets itself as the “center” (between Fox and MSNBC) and the network to “trust.” Can’t Anderson Cooper save us? (That is a joke, just in case)

  2. Personally, I have never forgiven Sharon for evicting 8000 Jews from flourishing Gush Katif and turning it over to the Palestinians and getting nothing in return but thousands of rockets, giving Hamas a place to set up a quasi government and even more bad press.
