Obama in Israel – Let My Brother Go

free Pollard post in Jerusalem

Five signs saying “Let My Brother Go!” were plastered over an official welcome poster near the Israeli Prime Minister’s residence in Jerusalem, Israel.

Will they be gone before the arrival of Obama tomorrow?

Covering the “Unbreakable Alliance” slogan with calls for the release of Jonathan Pollard, what a welcome.

About the Author

I lived in the United States, Canada and Australia before moving to Israel in the midst of the Second Lebanon War. For for the last six years, walking the streets of Jerusalem, the scenes I saw every day did not resemble the ones familiar in the Western media. Now I try to share those positive images with the world, what is really happening in Jerusalem, Israel, The Real Jerusalem Streets

The only chance is a last minute pardon as Obama leaves office and I don’t see much chance of that.

    • Jim from Iowa says:

This is largely my thinking. I really do think Obama will grant a pardon at the end of his second term in 2016. I’ve long opposed early release of Pollard, but I’m fine if that’s what Obama decides to do. Pollard will be in his 60′s then, so he can still enjoy the rest of his life in Israel and be treated like a king by some. Either way, American justice has been served.

      • Aryeh says:

You leftists are such hateful and evil cattle! Look at yourself, you are disgusting! What did poor Pollard do to you that you are so “opposed” to his release? But you are, nonetheless, will be “fine” if Hussein the Talking Monkey “pardons” him.

I wish you’d rot in jail the same way as Jonathan. As it’s written in your book, “Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.” Shame on you, pidaras.

        • Jim from Iowa says:

I’m not entirely sure which book you’re talking about, but if it’s the book for the Broadway production of “Priscilla, Queen of the Desert” you might be on to something, Aryeh. I know there are strong feelings about the Jonathan Pollard case. Both Republicans and Democrats, right-wing and left-wing, pro-Israel and those who want us to distance America from Israel all oppose his release. Pollard did it for the money and he spied for other countries as well. The sensitivity to the intelligence community prevents all of us from fully knowing all the damage Pollard did to our country. His treatment has been entirely fair and just.

          • Aryeh says:

I am pro-Israeli and hence I want to distance America from us. I don’t care if he did or didn’t do any damage to your country. By flirting with Muslims America damages itself thousands times more than Pollard might have done. The black Muslim “president” did more damage to America than anybody else. America can go to hell. I don’t care. A Jew’s life for me worth more than the lives of any number of Americans. You aren’t a real nation. Just a bunch of losers and criminals who immigrated there seeking for a better life.

            • Jim from Iowa says:

You’re comments are offensive, hateful and therefore, it is not worthwhile to have a dialogue with you. Get lost.

bush had 8 years and refused to pardon pollard

this is not going to happen…ever

fact is, nobody and i mean nobody, knows exactly what intel pollard released and whether or not it led to agents or others being placed in jeopardy

  4. Check out the latest post guys, there was a free Jonathan Pollard rally last night in Jerusalem, Israel.

I don’t think we’ll need to wait till the end of Obama’s term in 2016. Pollard is supposed to be released in any case in 2015. He’s already done 28 years so I can’t see why the Prez can’t use a little humanity and release him 2 measly years early.
