After Obama Went Home

Barak Obama went home and the US flags have been removed.

Traffic is again clogging the Jerusalem streets.

The official signs “Unbreakable alliance” – President Obama in Israel 2013 will be around for awhile.

It has been announced that Israel will transfer tax revenue to PA, so it looks like the effects of this presidential visit will be around for awhile too.

About Real Jstreets

I lived in the United States, Canada and Australia before moving to Israel in the midst of the Second Lebanon War. For the last seven years, walking the streets of Jerusalem, the scenes I saw every day did not resemble the ones familiar in the Western media. Now I try to share those positive images with the world, what is really happening in Jerusalem, Israel, The Real Jerusalem Streets

I feel so, so sick. The Turkish government committed an act of war against us, tortured and almost murdered our boys, and not only did we free the criminals but we apologized to them? Who runs the government? Meretz? Balad?

And Obama seems to have a big part in this. And now I read we are giving money to the PA in return for what?

If the United States – still working on my 1040, BTW – is not an enemy of the state of Israel, they sure are resembling one.

Here are some of the gruesome details of the Turkish act of war:

Someday we may be a free country. Someday.

OK, after reading Barry Rubin’s column I will take it back. It still makes me feel sick, but since I do believe that danger to life overrides everything, I can accept it. Then again, I’m not Zionist.

Just be glad you’re not applying for veteran’s benefits in the NYC area, mzk1. The backlog there means about a three year wait for each applicant. I bet you feel a whole lot better now. Try to always look on the bright side of life instead of fixating on Obama. Oh, and have a happy Passover, too.

I already have my Veterans Administration card, so if I need medical treatment, I can go to a VA facility and they have to accept me.

No country is a free country, but we do a pretty good job. You criticize the head of state, no one bangs on your door at 4 AM in response. You run elections every so often, no blood on the streets, a few angry words from those ousted, but nothing else. 9 Turks died, you can say i am sorry they are dead, but i guess you learned your lesson not to try us. In this case words are cheap, nothing material has changed, if these words can buy us some favor with our main ally and military partner, the USA, its a small price to pay.
