John Kerry You Revolt Me

THIS PHOTOGRAPH IS FAKE. Kerry never appeared with Fonda. (thanks to JPL for pointing this out)

John Kerry revolts me in ways I thought I would only reserve for members of the Jew hating British establishment.

In an astonishing statement conflating the victims of the Boston Marathon bomb with the terrorists who attacked and wounded IDF soldiers including throwing one into the sea after wounding him.

From the Seattle Times:

In March, Obama extracted an apology for the raid from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that broke the stalemate.

Kerry said he understood the anger and frustration of those Turks who lost friends and family in the raid. The former Massachusetts senator said last week’s Boston Marathon bombings made him acutely aware of the emotions involved.

“We have just been through the week of Boston and I have deep feelings for what happens when you have violence, when something that happens when you lose people that are near and dear to you,” he said. “It affects the community, it affects the country. But going forward, you know, we have to find the best way to bring people together and undo these tensions and undo these stereotypes and try to make peace.”

The Turks who were killed were seen singing songs celebrating the murder of Jews by Muhammad: these songs threaten the same thing to all Jews (not Zionists, Jews). These Turks armed themselves certainly with knives and steel bars and perhaps guns. These Turks were sailing on a ship to break a legal blockade. They were warned repeatedly to turn back. They were part of a flotilla of ships: the other ships surrendered peacefully and nobody was hurt: their ship attacked those sent to enforce the legal blockade with lethal force.

And somehow, the Secretary of State for the United States can’t tell the difference between these murderous terroists and Bostonians who went to cheer their family  and friends across the finish line of a marathon armed only with enthusiasm and joy.

After Kerry’s bid for the presidency failed I met John O’Neil a few times. He was one of the Swift boat veterans who highlighted Kerry’s woeful actions against Vietnam veterans. John O’Neil struck me as a mensch: an impression the main stream media never gave of him. He is a very successful lawyer, educated, well spoken and absolutely charming: the media at the time gave the impression of a knuckle dragging oaf. He was right then and today. It is a disgrace that this man holds high office, largely through the financial power of his wife’s inheritance.

  1. Obama couldn’t have helped but choose Kerry to head the State. You see, the brotherhood of the dope trumps everything else.

  2. I’m trying to see your point here, Brian. I really am. I read and reread Kerry’s statement and all I see is an expression of empathy for those who have lost loved ones in Turkey an in his hometown of Boston. I’ve looked elsewhere to see if others are similarly outraged. All I could find was MK Danny Danon in the Time of Israel expressing outrage at the Kerry statement. Not surprising given Danon’s anti-American positions in the past. I would expect that from him, but not you. I recognize that you are of British background and have expressed a hatred for our beloved American Hershey bar, but I’ve never considered you to be anti-American, Brian. Even the dubious folks at Breitbart didn’t make the Kerry statement an issue.

    1. Try harder, Jim. Kerry equated (by implication at the very least) the innocent murder victims in Boston with violent armed terrorists who got killed as the IDF soldiers defended themselves from attack. What the hell does anti-Americanism have to do with this? I’m a proud, patriotic US citizen, and I agree 100%.

      1. When it comes to Danny Danon, anti-Americanism is at the heart of it. He has a long history of hostile words and actions toward American efforts to help end the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict. I believe MK Danon is outraged by Kerry’s statement because it works within his construct to undermine American-Israeli friendship. I don’t believe even you would swim in such shark-infested waters with Mr. Danon, Zionist Shark.

    2. It’s called moral equivalence. There is none. Do you think Americans should feel as much sympathy for the parents of the alleged Boston Bombers as they feel for the parents of the 8 year old boy blown to pieces?

      1. So where is the outrage from the people of Boston, Brian? As far as I can see, it’s not an issue there.

        1. im sure the majority of bostonians paid no attention to the mavi marmarah incident

thats why you dont hear howls of outrage

    3. He’s not being anti-American, he’s being anti-Kerry.. His objection is with Kerry’s statement, not Americans. He explains the reason clearly – it’s like when Catherine Ashton conflated the children killed in a Jewish school in France (shot in the head by a terrorist) to “the children of Gaza”. It is offensive on so many levels, and nothing to do with being anti-American.

      1. I’ll grant it might have been an overreach on Kerry’s part to tie the two events together in a diplomatic effort to smooth over difficulties between two important U.S. allies, Turkey and Israel. Don’t you remember that it was Danny Danon who undermined V.P. Biden’s efforts to reach out to the Palestinians by announcing settlement expansion during Biden’s Middle East visit?. No coincidence that. I suppose Israel’s parliamentary system makes it difficult to keep irresponsible people such as MK Danon in line. Which is too bad for all parties concerned.

        1. Danon is no mere MK. He is a deputy defense minister. Bibi did not appoint him to that position in order to thumb his nose at Washington.

I don’t consider Kerry to be an evil man. I even think he meant well. However, he has proven to be unusually error prone, as indicated by my example below, and diplomacy requires considerable precision of expression.

I have no doubt that this blunder will set back the peace process. Now, when Israel is asked for concessions, the reply is most likely to be, “And what is the other side offering in return?”

    4. I don’t see why you couldn’t not be outraged when Kerry is comparing people who died while assaulting IDF personnel with rods and knifes to be compared with the Boston kid who died. These Turks functionally killed an IDF commando who was thrown overboard and has permanent brain damage, explain to how this makes them like the innocents in Boston ?

    5. Dannon is not anti-American, he is just annoyed that the American efforts to end the Israeli-Palestinian conflict seems to does so at the expense of Israel. He is just taking the position that Israel has a sovereign prerogative to its national security positions.

You can call it arrogant but since Israel got shafted in the past by Britain and the US in many instance it could get the upper hand over its enemy you can’t be surprised with Israelis not wanting to be ordered around by Americans.

Because apparently these terrorists on a boat don’t know how they got there where they were going or what they were supposed to do. They simply woke up and discovered they were on a boat. Maybe they were cheering the end of a regatta and were killed as innocent spectators. Who knows? The Jews control the fabric of space and time itself, it seems.

  4. I am no fan of Kerry, but the photo you posted of him with Jane Fonda is a fake. He never appeared with her. Moreover, the “swift boat” smear campaign was also debunked. It was funded by an American oil man, Boone Pickens. There is plenty to criticize Kerry on, without relying on shaky old falsehoods about his Vietnam and post-Vietnam war activities.

    1. Having chatted with John O’Neil and a few other of the Swift Boat guys I would stand by their story over Kerry’s. You’re right about the Kerry / Fonda photo and I’ve updated the post to reflect that.

      1. You’re a pretty sharp guy, Brian, but you do have a tendency, from time to time, to fall for the rightwing political crap spewed by folks like John O’Neill and Glenn Beck. The Swift Boats Veterans for Truth was a hatchet job on Kerry launched for partisan political purposes. Their spots were filled with lies and half truths about a man whose service in Vietnam was truly honorable. Ironic that the politician who most benefited by this smear campaign, George W. Bush, did everything he could to avoid military service in Vietnam.

        1. I remember hearing Kerry in 1971 call his fellow soldiers murderers, rapists and imitators of Genghis Khan. As for smear merchants look no further than Dapper Dan Rather.

        2. Ironic that the politician who most benefited by this smear campaign, George W. Bush, did everything he could to avoid military service in Vietnam.

Oh for a second I thought you were referring to Bill Clinton.

        3. You may want to ask why Kerry’s service in 1971 for 4 months was relevant at all in an election in 2004, 33 years later.
Answer: Because KERRY made it an issue and that making it an issue backfired on him.

          1. So you’re saying the Swift Boat Veterans For Truth campaign was a fair examination of John Kerry’s military record in Vietnam? I understand politics ain’t beanbag as the saying goes, but truth should play some role if you’re going to use that word in your organization’s name. If the Reaganites can claim Judge Bork got “borked” during his unsuccessful Senate confirmation, then surely John Kerry got “swift boated” during the ’04 campaign.
