Meet former cameraman Anthony Aurelius, who seems to have forgotten one of the basic rules of his profession: if making a video for Jewish clients, do not, under any circumstances, leave footage of you going all Mel Gibson in the copy you send to them .
Newlyweds Stan Gocman and Claudia Ressler couldn’t wait to watch their wedding video when it finally arrived – almost a year late.
But excited anticipation turned to horror as they heard a foul-mouthed anti-Jewish rant on the soundtrack.
Videographer Anthony Aurelius, clearly unaware he was recording himself, had vented his twisted prejudices as he filmed the Jewish couple’s precious day.
At one point, Aurelius can be heard telling his assistant: “I don’t think I blame Hitler (for the Holocaust).”
He then launches into a vile attack on bride Claudia and her guests, muttering: “Some of the Jewish women are very beautiful to look at.
“But I can tell you, they’d be right f***ing cows. Very f***ing snooty, they’d be a pain in the arse.
“Not a very attractive bride at all.”
He adds: “There’s not a lot of niceness about them is there? Very little warmth.”
Aurelius even blasts the couple for choosing his cheaper “bronze deal” and not a pricier package.
His assistant later slams Jews as “the meanest people in the world”.
To make matters worse, bungling Aurelius had at first sent them a video of a different couple. It then took nine months before the right one arrived, but it was so bad – with key moments missing and more shots of backs than faces – that they paid extra for the unedited version.
It was only then they realised the mic had picked up Aurelius’s rant.
At one point on the unedited reel, Aurelius was heard to say: “Mental, Israeli dancing, isn’t it? There’s a real feeling of like, they’re better than everybody else. Jewish.”
His assistant said: “That’s why Holocaust.”
Mr Aurelius replied: “I don’t think I blame Hitler” as he filmed the bride from only a few feet away.
Accountancy firm worker Stan, 28 and fashion buyer Claudia, 27, from Edgware, London, say Aurelius has ruined their precious memories.
Claudia added: “It’s completely anti-semitic and ignorant. At first, I was really upset – but then I was furious.
“He’s a disgusting little man. I can’t even stand to watch the video, it makes me so angry.
“I picked his basic package and he held a vendetta.”
The couple, who wed in central London, considered legal action, but decided not to after learning his business had closed.
Mr Aurelius later emailed a grovelling apology (which you can see in the gallery above): “I am very sorry for our stupid, childish conversation… you did not deserve this.
“I am ashamed.”
He gave them a full refund.
But here’s the real comedy gold:
Aurelius claims he is the ‘UK’s No.1 fitness expert’ on the cover of a DVD he has released – and describes it as ‘The ENLIGHTENED warrior workout’.
Yeah, he’s real enlightened.
