Terror Too Close to Home

It is official, the release of 26 Palestinian prisoners was authorized Saturday, 28 December 2013.

All of the released prisoners perpetrated offenses prior to the Oslo accords and have served sentences of 19-28 years.

Professor Menahem Stern in the Valley of the Cross in Jerusalem, Israel.

This memorial stone on the spot of the terror attack is where I often walk alone.

It is located minutes from the Israel Museum and the Israeli Knesset.

It was emphasized that if any of those to be released resume hostile activity

they will be returned to serve the remainder of their sentences.

Somehow that gives me little comfort, and I imagine even less to Prof Stern’s family.

About Real Jstreets

I lived in the United States, Canada and Australia before moving to Israel in the midst of the Second Lebanon War. For the last seven years, walking the streets of Jerusalem, the scenes I saw every day did not resemble the ones familiar in the Western media. Now I try to share those positive images with the world, what is really happening in Jerusalem, Israel, The Real Jerusalem Streets

At what point will crime victims go the vigilante route instead of relying on the government to exact justice? Dead men can’t return home on the whim of the government.

Again though, we know who they are. Simply gather up the names, pictures and addresses of everyone in their families who can be identified, and plaster that information all over the country, everywhere, without any further comment other than a banner identifying who they are and who they’re associated with. Every single man, woman and child who can be located.
