First thing this morning I was out walking in Jerusalem, Israel, walking on Azza, Gaza Street according to Brian of London’ s GPS lady.
Ah I thought, got my Photo of the Day already!
An Arab girl riding in an Israeli bus, sitting alone in the front seat, in the middle of Jerusalem.
But, then…
this Arab girl caught my attention. She was sitting in the front seat and standing behind was a Jewish man.
It’s getting late and I still cannot decide.
Truth is, that it is easy to find photos like these everyday.
Which do you think is more of an Israeli bus apartheid fail?
#BDSfail #Israeli apartheid fail.
Try this one on for size — not a bus but a taxi. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/6261934.stm
Glad you identified that as a Muslim woman – hard to tell in that pic. Could have been Amish or a house painter or a nanny.
See the second picture. She’s sitting next to a young man. I think he is an Israeli soldier.
Picture 2, definitely.
Wow, such apartheid! That wouldn’t happen in a Palestinian state…
We remember very well what happens when a woman in burqa (or what do they call these ugly bags) gets on a bus or comes into a crowd of people. Security must be of greater concern when put against their right to wear these kinds of clothes. Say no to women clothed in dust bags.
