Instead of my usual Photo of the Day, this time I have to share instead the Word of the Night: “scum.”
First CNN correspondent Diana Magnay, reporting from Israel used “scum” in her tweet to describe Israelis cheering the IDF bombing of terror locations. She then deleted it, making a story that was picked up and written about already in many places.
Around the same time last night, I asked a simple question on Twitter to someone who was praising rallies (riots) against Israel in Turkey instigated by IHH.
I certainly was surprised and unprepared to get this answer within minutes:
Another one of those anti-Israel trolls who have been out in full force this week I thought. Then this happened:
Within seconds it was being retweeted, but I had enough and went to sleep.
This morning I found that the author of “Get lost you Zionist scum”
was not an everyday troll, but a “British-Turkish journalist.”
FYI, dear journalists with obvious limited knowledge
this is scum.
#TurksWhoHateJews or #JournalistSayingScum, all leave a bad odor.
Why leave out CNN?

first tweet mentioned
CNN was the top of the piece, many have written on her scum comment, this was to show she is NOT alone using the word. Certainly a little more sophistication should be shown.
I actually applaud bigots, racists, Jew haters, Nazis and other progressives telling us what they are openly so as to remove all doubt. I’ve never understood for instance, Holocaust Deniers who still worship Hitler. Kind of makes him a piker, no?
We do where he stands that is quite clear, with no journalistic responsibility shown. I have met Turkish journalists in Jerusalem, Israel all are fine people doing their job.
Again though – if you’re going to do a reporters job while screaming good old Nazi tropes, then by all means at least do it from the Nazi homeworld.
The left-leaning media = enemy combatants in all but name
Why doesn’t Israel revoke Magnay’s credentials and declare her an undesirable alien?
CNN already pulled her from covering Israel anymore.
CNN did the right thing. Posting that tweet was unprofessional.
I agree. The amount of anti Israel ” journalists” working their way to mainstream news organizations is shocking.
Objectivity has gone out the window, as more rockets keep coming to break them.
Yes, seems CNN sent Magnay to Moscow. I will refrain from any politically incorrect comments, with great difficulty though.
