UNRWA has more ‘splaining to do.
Three Israeli soldiers were killed Wednesday when explosives detonated within a booby-trapped UN building in Khan Younis, Gaza.
An elite IDF tunnel unit was in the process of uncovering an opening to a Hamas tunnel located at an UNRWA (United Nations Relief and Works Agency For Palestine Refugees) health clinic when all of a sudden, the explosives detonated, causing the entirety of the building to fall on top of the soldiers.
A health clinic!
This follows the discovery of their schools being used as rocket storage facilities. Three times.
I wonder how UNRWA will deny knowledge of a booby-trapped building. With a freakin’ tunnel entrance in it! After all, those health clinics would be frequented all the time.
We offer preventive and curative health services to sustain and promote the health of Palestine refugees, from conception through pregnancy, childhood, adolescence and adulthood and active ageing. These services include family planning, pre-conception care, antenatal care and postnatal follow-up, infant care (growth monitoring, medical check-ups and immunizations), school health, oral health, outpatient consultations, diagnostic or laboratory services and the management of chronic non-communicable diseases.
If this is not complicity with terrorists, I do not know what is.
Of course, still no word from them. They are currently too busy condemning Israel.
Update 11:15 31 July: Brian here, there is one report on JewishPress that this was not a UNRWA clinic that someone had put up a new UNRWA sign on a Red Cross clinic. This morning I’ve heard Israeli radio saying the soldiers were lured into a trap by the sounds of crying children. I’ve also had one Facebook friend back this up with a report from a soldier she knows in the field.
