Reader Post: Seeking “The Greatest Generation”

veteransThe term “The Greatest Generation” was coined by Tom Brokaw in his book of the same name. In the book, Brokaw wrote, “it is, I believe, the greatest generation any society has ever produced.” He argued that these men and women fought not for fame and recognition, but because it was the “right thing to do.”

Today, I am calling all those of that steadfast generation to stand yet again and voice their eternal desire to do the right thing.

I urge you to again wrap yourselves in the flag of justice and righteousness. I ask you to once again put on your uniforms of freedom and March!

March on Washington, New York Boston and Los Angeles.
March on Paris, Berlin Budapest and London.
March like you did to Auschwitz, Dachau and Buchenwald.
March like you did against the Axis.
March as you did in Normandy, because Israel is Normandy. We are the D-Day of today.

We are a small foot-hold in a world that seeks to overrun us with Jihad. A world that yet again seeks to destroy us in our homes and in our beds. We are the canary in the mine, the canary that is gasping on the toxic fumes of Islamic ideology.

Your “Greatest Generation” stood when it really counted when the world was on the edge of the abyss and the future seemed desolate.  You fought against death and for life. You sacrificed so that your children and grandchildren may live in a world without evil. Ultimately, you succeeded. But, that same evil is here again. It has been brewing and festering in an undercurrent of Islamic expansionism into the European continent. That invasion is growing by exponential factors that are irreversible and cataclysmic-ally permanent.

To the Jews, Europe is once again lost. We are yet again persona non grata and our blood is sacrificed on the altar of political correctness and cowardice. The saying goes that numbers don’t lie, well here is one; the Muslim population of Europe is estimated to reach 58 Million by 2020. That certainly scares European Jewry; it should scare the soul and peace loving of the rest European citizenry.

Brokaw noted that “A common lament of the World War II generation is the absence today of personal responsibility.” It is also said that every generation is a re-embodiment of their grandparent’s values; to that end I call on that “Greatest Generation” to spread their definition of justice and responsibility. I call on you to speak with your political leaders to support Israel in its righteous fight for survival. I call on you to speak with your children and grandchildren and enlighten them that they must not stay silent as the world is yet again plunging into the depth of the abyss.

I call on you to once again to be the “Greatest Generation.”

Unfortunately, most members of that “greatest generation” are no longer with us, and those that are left are viewed as much honored relics of a bygone era that will never return.
