There’s apparently a reality show in the US called 19 Kids and Counting, which focuses on the life of the Duggar family, devout Independent Baptists, consisting of parents Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar and their 19 children — nine girls and ten boys.

I have never seen the show, but did see this piece of news on People.

First comes love, then comes marriage …

Not one year after being the first of the Duggar girls to tie the knot, Jill and husband Derick Dillard welcomed baby Israel David on April 6.

Israel David, now that’s a nice name. But it is the photo accompanying the article that made this post worthy.

  1. Did Derick serve in the IDF? I’ve heard that he spent quite a bit of time in Israel over the years and he obviously is wearing an IDF t-shirt…

I do not mean to take anything away from this photo, but generally speaking, do IDF vets take offense to someone who didn’t serve wearing IDF labeled clothing? For example, in the US it would be a big deal for someone to wear an Army Rangers t-shirt if they never served. Ranger Regiment vets would not be happy about it.
