Backstreet’s Back

The Backstreet Boys are in Israel ahead of their 3 concerts this week, clearly unperturbed by Roger Waters’ desperate calls to BDS the Jewish state.

But it is no surprise they would give Waters the cold treatment. The band was supposed to perform last year, but Gazan terrorists had other ideas, and the ensuing Operation Protective Edge caused a delay. Also, as you learned here exclusively, Backstreeter A.J McLean is a supporter of Israel, and Howie D was offering a surreal Israel tour years back (which seems to have not materialized).

My contact at the Dan hotel in Tel Aviv tells me they checked in there this morning and will be staying there for the duration of their time here.

I might not be the biggest fan of their music (I am not a teenage girl, after all), but I respect the Boys desire to perform for us, and wish them a great concert tour.
