Sometimes using YouTube to distribute your videos is a bit risky. Especially if you’re a small, rich desert kingdom trying to attract well-to-do visitors but you happen to also ship in slave labour to build your palaces.
This is the video from Vice about the “Slaves of Dubai” they’d probably rather you didn’t watch:
And this is the video they’re trying to promote:
Now, so I hear, Dubai and the other Gulf Sunni emirates are looking to Israel to defend them against Iran after Obama’s nuclear deal stabbed them in the back.
It is a bit like defending the free speech rights of communists/nazis/kkk. You have to do it because you have to defend _everyone’s_ rights, no matter how awful. And how much you have to wash your hands afterwards.
Saudi Arabia had slave street markets until the UN stopped them in 1962.
Now, Dubai (and the Gulf countries) are it again!
KSA is the largest slave holding nation.
So the rich, princely Arabs of the Gulf are building a new, secular Tower of Bavel on the backs of slaves – lied to and tricked into slavery, it should be noted – and the heroes of Amnesty International and the other “human rights” NGOs could not care less. And why should they? There are no Jews or American conservatives involved, therefore none of this meets the active definition of “human rights abuse.”
If you want to know why the professional human rights industry is silent on this, follow the money.
