Iran’s Azadi Tower Suffers From Epic “Malfunction”

Iran’s iconic Azadi Tower in the heart of Tehran has seemingly suffered a wardrobe malfunction.

According to Israel’s Walla News:

Iran’s icon became a commercial for Windows 7 because of a malfunction

The most important monument in the Islamic Republic is the Azadi Tower located in the heart of Tehran, the capital. But instead of a show of lights on the marble roof, the operating system logo of the US technology giant appeared

The most important monument in Iran, the Azadi Tower, located in the heart of Tehran, the capital, symbolizes the gateway to the city, has recently become a huge advertisement for Microsoft’s Windows 7 operating system. Instead of a light show that was supposed to be projected on the huge building, passersby were able to see the desk of the man in charge of it.

This is probably a technical malfunction that caused the computer interface display to be projected and not the planned show, but it is certainly the best advertisement that Microsoft could have hoped for.

The combination of the logo of the American technology giant and the monument so identified with the Islamic Republic surprised the residents. One of them, Riza Akbar, who works for the administration, was quick to publish the documentation of the blue-painted Twitter tower and joked that at least they were investing in Windows 10.

From Azadi to Gumby?

And if you believe this was a mere malfunction, I have a tower to sell you.

Well done, Mossad!
