Saudi Official Praises Israel for Allowing Muslims to Perform Hajj

In a possible further sign of thawing relations between the two countries, a Saudi official has recognized the freedom of religion that Israel affords Muslims.

Not sure why he is surprised by this, but I am guessing the media to which he has been exposed until recently was suppressing the truth about Israel.

The irony is that even when anti-Israel sites like Middle East Monitor report his comments with some digs at Israel

In a move which many have described as further proof that Saudi is normalisation relations with the occupation state, the Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance Sheikh Abdullatif Bin Abdulaziz Al-Sheikh said: “The state of Israel, from what we know of it, has not banned Muslim pilgrims from coming to the Kingdom [of Saudi Arabic] to take part in their religious obligation, however one of the countries, as we know or have been told, have banned pilgrims from travelling.”

they are helping disseminate the truth.

In fact, the headline they chose to use is misleading in that it is actually more than the Saudi official said in praise of Israel!

Kind of like the pilgrims in Mecca, it is hard to keep the truth in forever without it bursting out.
