National Students for Justice in Palestine (NSJP): Built on Terror

In a few weeks (Nov 16-18) Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) at UCLA will be hosting the 8th annual National Students for Justice in Palestine Conference. As their website states, the conference theme will be “Radical Hope: Resistance in the Face of Adversity.”

And this resistance they speak of seems very much to include terrorism:

Palestinians have continued to resist towards the goal of a free Palestine, a future that can sometimes be difficult to imagine. Palestinians have displayed this radical hope and upfront defiance of Zionism throughout the past century, from early revolts through the Intifadas to the Great Return March.

But no surprises here. To paraphrase Starship, National Students for Justice in Palestine was built on terror.

Here’s how, but bear with me. You need to really go back and dig a little deep to discover this, but the findings are disturbing to say the least.

Hatem Bazian’s AMP Instrumental in Formation of National SJP

Back in 2010, National SJP was formed out of the Palestine Program at the US Social Forum, organized by the US Palestinian Community Network (USPCN).

The group American Muslims for Palestine was instrumental in national SJP’s formation, including their founder Hatem Bazian.

Yup, Hatem Bazian – Jew hater and terror supporter extraordinaire (not to mention friend of Jeremy Corbyn).

And Bazian is not alone. AMP-New Jersey president (and former AMP national board member) Sayel Kayed has also espoused antisemitism and endorsed terrorism, while Taher Herzallah, AMP’s national Campus Coordinator, has called for Israelis to be bombed.

National SJP Founded at Conference Sponsored by Organization Intrinsically Linked to Multiple Terror Organizations

The BDS National Committee (BNC) is “the broadest Palestinian civil society coalition that works to lead and support the BDS movement.” The first and primary member of the BNC is the “Council of National and Islamic Forces in Palestine,” known outside of the palestinian-controlled territories as the “Palestinian National and Islamic Forces” (PNIF). The PNIF was founded by arch terrorists Yasser Arafat and Marwan Barghouti, and is comprised of five US designated terrorist organizations, including:

  • Hamas
  • The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP)
  • The Popular Front – General Command (PFLP-GC)
  • The Palestine Liberation Front
  • Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ)

The BNC was very involved with the US Social Forum in 2010, sponsoring a plenary called “The Way Forward: Strategy, Tactics and Seeding Boycott Divestment and Sanctions in the US.”

Not only that, but the main plenary speaker at the US Social Forum in 2010 was Jamal Juma, a co-founder of the BNC.

And his plenary was no “side-act” – the conference organizers really made a big deal about it.

So there you have it: National SJP was built on terror, by terrorists. In part two of my expose on them, I will look at their continued involvement with terrorists.
