Oh dear, I was afraid it was going to lead up to this. Do you think Moses went to all the trouble of parting the Red Sea and then leading his people to the promised land only to have the Jewish people become a curiosity auxillary tribe of the hillbilly NASCAR nation? I think not. NASCAR leads to other things, you know. Moonshine whiskey, chewing tobacco, and Smokey and the Bandit marathons on Country Music Television. Don't turn your back on your own traditions of smart, urbane entertainment and Buddy Hackett who would never be caught dead with the likes of Larry the Cable Guy.

Um, it's been less than 24 hours after her untimely death, but in this internet age I suppose it is expected to mock celebrities, especially self-destructive ones. Wow, that "Daily Show" clip was from 2003 and John Stewart looked like he was about 18. How hard can THAT job be to have aged him so much? It's not like he's our president. Oh, wait, for some of us, John Stewart IS our president. And did you ever consider instead of "IsraellyCool" calling your blog "Aussie Dave and the Jew Edition?"

What a load of baloney! Iran surpassed "Israel" in science and technology a long time back, and Iran is already the fastest growing scientific power in the world when measured by publications in Western journals. The irony is that Iran achieved all this despite Western pressure, threats, sanctions, embargoes and so on. If you want to calculate "publications per capita", then you should also be willing to exclude all the ex-soviet scientists that were expelled from former USSR countries and went to Occupied Palestine. Furthermore, it is a matter of great doubt what such statistics could actually indicate considering that "Israel" would not be the top country in the world if such measures were used either, instead it would be countries like Togo and Singapore. Singapore actually published almost the same number of papers in 2010 and 2011 as "Israel" despite Singapore having a population of 5m compared with around 7.6m for you.
