Today’s Attack on a Major Israeli City

Wednesday, November 5th, 2008

Palestinian terrorists have so far today fired 35 Qassams and mortar shells into Israel, with 3 landing in the Ashkelon area (one of which hit central Ashkelon), sending a girl and two women into shock. This was in response to last night’s IDF operation to blow up a tunnel dug by Hamas terrorists for the purpose of kidnapping IDF soldiers, and which resulted in the deaths of 6 Hamasholes.

Hamas, Islamic Jihad’s Al-Quds Brigades and the Al-Aqsa Brigades of “moderate” Mahmoud Abbas’ Fatah all claimed responsibility for the attack. According to Ha’aretz, Hamas blamed Israel for operating in Gaza with the intention of thwarting Palestinian reconciliation efforts. Which I guess is true if Hamas’ plan to kidnap more Israeli soldiers is seen as a way to reconcile with Fatah.

Nevertheless, both Israel and Hamas have expressed interest in maintaining the ceasefire.

You know, the one which does not actually exist.

Chaos Theory

Tuesday, September 16th, 2008

Ma’an News reports:

The 11 September death of 48-year-old Manwa Hassan Kin’an Abed who sustained a single gunshot wound to the head as she stepped out on her balcony, is the result of recent “security chaos,” according to the Palestinian Center for Human Rights.

The report, released Monday, related the events of the evening.

At approximately 20:30 Al-Aqsa Brigades activists, part of the armed wing of Fatah, announced via mosque loudspeaker at the center of the village, that all “wanted” men in the area should give themselves up and come to the city center.

The men, hidden throughout the city, south of Nablus, responded to the announcement by firing bullets into the air. The Al-Aqsa men responded in kind, and volleys of bullets were launched from both parties.

According to eyewitnesses, Manwa was hit by the gunshot when she stepped onto her balcony after hearing the announcements and gunfire.

Manwa was transferred to a nearby clinic but died immediately.

So let’s get this straight. When palestinian terrorist factions fire their guns with wanton disregard for human life, and kill civilians, it is “security chaos.” But when IDF soldiers fire at combatants deliberately hiding amongst civilians, taking care to avoid collateral damage, the killing of civilians is a “war crime.”

Incidentally, when Ma’an reported the victim’s death last week, they left open the possibility that it was caused by an “Israeli incursion.”

Palestinian Nose Cut Off to Spite Face…Again

Monday, August 11th, 2008

This pretty much epitomizes the palestinian mentality:

Twenty five former Al-Aqsa Brigades fighters set fire to their belongings and to a number of prison cells in the Palestinian Authority’s Juneid Prison, near the West Bank city of Nablus on Monday.

“This step came as a message to Palestinian officials in protest against negligence of our situation by Israel,” one of the detained activists told Ma’an.

Leaving aside the fact I have no idea what “in protest against negligence of our situation by Israel” actually means, this act ranks up there in the annals of dumbassry.

Take that, evil officials! You’ll think twice next time! Now if you don’t mind, I would like to borrow a toothbrush.

The “Truce” That Keeps on Getting Broken

Thursday, June 26th, 2008

Palestinians have once again violated the so-called ceasefire between Hamas and Israel, firing yet another Qassam into Israel, which landed near a gas station.

And the palestinians continue to demonstrate just how warped their mindset is, blaming Israel for violating the truce after we responded to the rocket and mortar attacks by closing the Gaza border crossings.

Thursday’s rocket fire came as Hamas accused Israel of violating the terms of the cease-fire after the Defense Ministry decided to keep the Gaza border crossings closed for the day, except for special humanitarian cases, in response to Tuesday’s attack.

“If the crossings remain closed, the truce will collapse,” Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri said.

You can just imagine that had today’s Qassam hit the gas station, resulting in less gas being delivered to Gaza, the palestinians would also call that an Israeli truce violation.

Meanwhile, scoring equally on the warp-o-meter is this:

Fatah’s military wing, the Al-Aqsa brigades claimed responsibility for launching a projectile at the Israeli town of Sderot on Thursday afternoon, calling for the truce to include the West Bank.

In other words, breaking the truce in order to show how it should be expanded. Yeah, that’ll work.

Suffer The Prisoners

Tuesday, June 17th, 2008

The next time you hear of the supposed ill-treatment of palestinian prisoners, recall this picture of three of the most renowned, imprisoned palestinian terrorists.

well-fed1 Suffer The Prisoners

The George Hamilton wannabe on the left is Ahmed Saadat, Secretary-General of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), who allegedly organized the assassination of Israeli Tourism Minister Rehavam Zeevi.

The smiling shrimp in the middle is Marwan Barghouti, leader of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades and Tanzim, who was convicted of five counts of murder and sentenced to five life sentences and forty years imprisonment.

The boofhead on the right is Samir Kuntar, a Palestine Liberation Front terrorist who has been in prison for almost 30 years after murdering a 28 year-old man, his four year-old daughter, and two Israeli policemen. (You can read more about him here).

They look like they’ve been subjected to horrendous conditions, don’t they? Especially Kuntar, who’s idea of a hunger strike seems to be not eating the second steak (although when comparing Barghouti’s head size to Kuntar’s, there could be reason to believe that the former was subjected to some kind of Zionist head-shrinkingTM).

So the next time you hear of the supposed ill-treatment of palestinian prisoners, recall this picture and call bullsh*t.

Update: Did I mention that Kuntar got married, received conjugal visits from his wife, and earned a college degree all while in prison?

Palestinian Teamwork

Thursday, May 22nd, 2008

With the palestinians at each other’s throats (let alone ours), it is good to see that palestinians affiliated with their moderate leader Mahmoud Abbas are leading the way in showing what can be achieved with some good old fashioned cooperation.

A Palestinian truck bomber attacked a key border crossing between the Gaza Strip and Israel early Thursday morning, the Palestinian militant group Hamas said.

Army Radio reports that there were no injuries in the explosion at the Erez crossing on the northern end of the Gaza-Israel border.

A spokesman for the Islamic Jihad group said they carried out the attack in cooperation with the Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades, an offshoot of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas’s more secular Fatah faction. Jihad described the attack as a successful martyrdom operation.

An Israel Defense Forces spokeswoman confirmed that there had been an explosion in the area. No IDF soldiers were hurt.

Hamas said the bomb-laden truck was driven by a suicide bomber. Residents in the Gaza Strip who live over 30 km (20 miles) from the crossing reported hearing the blast.

Israel’s Channel 10 television said troops had prevented the truck from getting close to the crossing by firing at it before it exploded.

Notice also how Islamic Jihad described it as “a successful martyrdom operation” even though they did not manage to kill any Israelis.

Last week, US President George Bush said:

“It breaks my heart to see the vast potential of the Palestinian people, really, wasted.”

I’m guessing the palestinians agree. They have the potential to kill many more Jews.
