Find a Gazan Pen Pal

The Free Gaza tools announce their new “postal service to Gaza,” which includes their “Letters from the World Program.”
LETTERS FROM THE WORLD PROGRAM
If you do not know anyone in Gaza, but would like to get to know someone, we want to help you try and find a pen pal. This program is available to people [...]

What’s In a Name?

Anis is by far the most appropriately named of the Free Gaza tools.
But a new contender has emerged.
A Marin woman was making a triumphant voyage back to Cyprus this week after members of the Free Gaza movement sailed from Cyprus to Gaza to break an Israeli blockade.
Kathy Sheetz, 61, a retired nurse, was among 46 [...]

I’ve Been Jibbed!

I’ve Been Jibbed!

You may recall that the appropriately named Anis, of the Free Gaza tools, threatened to sue Israellycool contributor Elder of Ziyon for the latter’s satirical take on Anis’ song (if you can call it that).
Well, two can play that game. Look what I found on the Free Gaza site:

Look familiar?

I might be inclined to sue [...]

Free Gaza Press Release from Tuesday:
(GAZA CITY, 26 August 2008) – The SS Free Gaza and SS Liberty will leave Gaza for Cyprus on Thursday morning at 9:00 am. Several Palestinian students who have been denied exit visas by Israel will travel to Cyprus on the boats. One Palestinian professor will finally be able to [...]

Free Gaza Tool Jeff Halper Visits Sderot

It looks like Papa’s been smurfed.
Israeli pro-Palestinian activist Jeff Halper was arrested in Sderot on Tuesday for illegally entering Hamas-ruled Gaza, police said.
Halper reached Gazan shores on Saturday with dozens of Free Gaza Movement activists on two boats aimed at “breaking the siege” of the Strip.
Halper, who also heads the Israeli Committee against House Demolitions, [...]

Morally Corrupt AND Tone Deaf

Morally Corrupt AND Tone Deaf

The Free Gaza tools are on a roll when it comes to rotten ideas. If the whole sailing to Gaza idea – which currently has left them $300,000 in debt – was not bad enough, they have decided to launch a song contest.
Coincidentally, it is being held at Anis Online. You can’t make stuff like [...]

Fisking a Fool: Terror Supporter Yvonne Ridley

Terror supporter Yvonne Ridley writes of the Ship of Fools entry into Gaza.
Well, you would have to be deaf, dumb and blind not to know that I am writing to you today from Gaza.
Or none of the above. After all, this whole production did not exactly garner a huge deal of attention. At least not [...]

The Terror-Supporters of “Free Gaza”

The Terror-Supporters of “Free Gaza”

If the photographs of Free Gaza “activists” mingling, hugging, and smiling with Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh was not enough to convince you that we are dealing with terrorist supporters and enablers – not pro-peace campaigners – here is what you ought to know about some of the more notable members of their group.
Yvonne Ridley [...]

Hamas Using Israeli Cement to Build Bunkers

One of the major items that Israel had not allowed into Gaza before the current “calm” was cement. Human rights organizations and others complained bitterly about how this cement shortage was affecting Gazans’ lives.
So now that Israel has allowed many truckfuls of cement into Gaza, what is happening to it?
Everything that goes into Gaza, either [...]

Israel’s “Physicians for Human Rights” Make Stuff Up

Reuters reports:
Israel’s Physicians for Human Rights (PHR) group accused Israeli doctors on Thursday of ignoring what it described as the torture of Palestinian detainees during interrogations.
The PHR said its findings were based on testimony from two Palestinians who developed trauma-related symptoms, such as weak hearing, panic attacks and incontinence during and after their detention.
Israel said [...]
