Now it has emerged that West Wing actor Joshua Malina has been sent the first page of Mel’s screenplay.

Imagine my shock when a friend who works at Warner Bros. secretly e-mailed me the first page of Mel’s screenplay for his film. I had misjudged! If the movie’s opening is any indication, Gibson’s approach is balanced, historically accurate and celebratory of Jewish bravery during trying times.

Katy Perry insists that her parents don’t speak for her after the fundamental Christians delivered a shocking sermon putting down Jews and praising their daughter’s recent divorce for bringing more followers to their church.

After news broke of her parents’ harsh words in church on Sunday, Katy tweeted, “NO ONE speaks for me. Not a blog, magazine, ‘close source’ or my family.”

According to The Sun newspaper, Katy’s father Keith Hudson told his congregation at the Church on the Rise in Ohio:

“You know how to make the Jew jealous? Have some money, honey. You go to LA and they own all the Rolex and diamond places. Walk down a part of LA where we live and it is so rich it smells. You ever smell rich? They are all Jews, hallelujah. Amen.”

I’m guessing daddy would have also disapproved of Katy’s prayer for Israel.

The Blaze actually rang her parents up and, not surprising really, it seems he was taken out of context and probably slandered.

Why the press is so desperate to hunt down Christian Jew hatred when Muslims pray 17 times a day for the death of all Jews, I’m not so sure.

Rather than a “sick blast” or a “rant,” he explained that the comments were said in jest and that there was certainly no harm meant by them. “I was joking. I have said this for years – I’ve said it in other churches before,” he continued.

Just before the comments were made, Keith said that he was talking about and praying for small business owners — mainly individuals who were self-employed. “I was talking about how God wants people to prosper and to be a blessing,” he explains. “God wants to bless you so you can be a blessing.”

The worst thing I can find in the piece is some minor mention of talking to Messianic Jews, but then I’ve also “talked” to Jews for Jesus though admittedly the conversation was one sided, short and fairly rude.

File this under ironic and interesting …  Mel Gibson is producing a movie that triumphs the Jewish struggle against tyranny … a movie about the greatest Jewish hero of all time.

Mel’s publicist Alan Nierob tells TMZ …  Mel is teaming up with screenwriter Joe Eszterhas (right) — who wrote the Jewish-themed movies “Betrayed” and “Music Box” — to produce a movie about Judah Maccabee, the Jewish warrior who defeated the Greek-Syrian armies in the second century B.C.

Mel — who famously directed the arguably anti-Jewish “Passion of the Christ” in 2004 — has signed on with Warner Bros., which won out over several other studios that wanted the project.

Nierob says Gibson has been working on the Maccabee project for a decade, but now it’s about to become real.

Isaacs is a proud Jew, whose parents moved to Israel, and Isaacs discovered only last week the real reason why.

He was born in Liverpool 48 years ago to fourth-generation Jewish scousers. How come his parents moved to Israel? “It was always their dream.” Isaacs found out the full grim truth of why his parents wanted to leave Britain only last week. “My dad was very ill so I went to sit by his bedside in intensive care with my brothers. We thought he was dying, but he’s recovered now, thank God.

“In the wee small hours of the night when I was holding his hand, we had conversations about his childhood and they made it clearer why he hung on to this dream of moving to Israel. It wasn’t only that he’d been engaging with the blackshirts of the Nazi movement when he was 11 or 12. It wasn’t only that aged 13 he discovered there’d been a holocaust a few hundred miles away. He said it was also because there was still a Nazi movement here after the war.

“I said to him: ‘Dad, the timescale’s mixed up. You mean after the war, there were Nazis in Liverpool?’ And he said: ‘Absolutely.’”

Isaacs’s father was speaking of the riots in Liverpool and other British cities in 1947 after the hangings of two British soldiers in Mandate Palestine by Irgun militants. It’s a historical moment recently dramatised in Peter Kosminsky’s fine Channel 4 drama series The Promise, which Isaacs confesses shamefacedly not to have seen.

“After the hangings, my dad was cowering with his family in his flat in Liverpool while people were breaking windows and shouting: ‘Burn the Jews! Burn the Jews!’ I thought he was confused, but he wasn’t: these things were happening to him after the war when he was 16.

“So to discover that a country had been set up where this wouldn’t happen to you, where there wouldn’t have been a chance of you being carted off and put in gas ovens, moved him and my mother all the way through raising their children. They left when their fourth son was at university.” Did he ever imagine joining them? “I imagined, but didn’t want to go.”

And speaking of antisemitism, Issacs is charitable when it comes to his former Patriot co-star, Mel Gibson.

On the subject of Mel Gibson, what does he feels about his former co-star’s antisemitic rant, made while drunk at the wheel of his car to a Jewish cop? “He’s a very tender, troubled man whose rightwing politics I could never share. I still think of him on the set of The Patriot smoking a fag and telling some hysterically gynaecological gag and then turning round and accessing huge wells of emotion as he holds his son Heath Ledger’s dead body.

“The night of that rant he had come from a Jewish friend of mine who has an orthodox Jewish wife and had taken a gift for them – that got lost in the headlines.” Yeah, but . . . “I know, I know! I heard the tapes and I can’t make excuses. That said he will be enormously troubled about what he heard on those tapes. We all know people who when they’re drunk want to get people to hit them and that’s part of what he did.”

A few months after the tapes of Gibson’s rant were released, he and Isaacs met at a public event. “He came up to me, so I said: ‘Rabbi Gibson!’ And he said: ‘Give me a break – I was drunk.’ I hope he finds peace.”

But as DiCaprio and Lively revelled in new love, Rafaeli wasn’t very far away. Making a solo appearance on the Cannes red carpet, the supermodel appeared unperturbed by her recent break-up, stunning fans at the premier of Mel Gibson’s comeback film, The Beaver, in a floor-length midnight blue gown.

That’s right. Supporting the film of a well-known antisemite.

I guess she likes being called “sugar t-ts”. 

Or “oven dodger” for that matter.

MEL Gibson reportedly attempted to commit suicide by ‘death by cop’ in 2006 after his wife ended their 26 year marriage.

The Braveheart star tried to goad a police officer into drawing his weapon and shooting, by hurling anti-Semitic slurs after he was stopped for drink driving.

The incident four years ago led to the steady decline of Gibson’s once glittering Hollywood career and public shaming.

But a close friend has revealed Gibson wasn’t anti-Jewish but on a mission to die because he felt he had failed after his wife Robyn had left him.

Death by cop is a popular way of suicide in the US where people deliberately provoke police officers into using their weapons.

Gibson, 55, was said to be distraught at the break-up of his marriage when he returned to his Los Angeles home from filming in 2006 and discovered his wife and seven children had moved out.

A friend of the actor told Hollywood author Peter Biskind that Gibson was trying to get the officer, James Mee, to draw his weapon and fire.

“He felt that he had just absolutely failed as a human being,” a friend told Biskin, writing for the Oscars edition of Vanity Fair magazine. “Mel was trying to invite death by cop.”

“I don’t think this was being anti-Semitic. I think he was trying to rile that guy into pulling out a gun and shooting him.”

According to the friend Gibson had said goodbye to everyone in the restaurant before getting in his car.

“I believe what was going on that night was a farewell,” the friend said.

Gibson had been pulled over on the Pacific Coast Highway near Malibu by officer Mee, who is Jewish.

“The arrest report revealed that Gibson asked Mee if he was Jewish, then said: ‘F****** Jews… the Jews are responsible for all the wars in the world.”

He was later said to have called a female officer at the police station “sugartits.”

Meanwhile, here he is trying to commit suicide by “death by interviewer”, and here he is trying to commit suicide by “death by Hollywood actress.”

Poor misunderstood fellow.

I’m sure peace is just around the corner.

"Jew talkin' to me?"

There’s only 14 weeks to go before the release of Mel Gibson’s “The Beaver,” and the film’s publicity problems keep mounting.

In the new issue of GQ magazine, “Black Swan” co-star Winona Ryder recounts a moment sure to make Gibson’s publicity team (and plenty of others) cringe.

“I remember, like, 15 years ago, I was at one of those big Hollywood parties,” Ryder tells the magazine. “And he was really drunk. I was with my friend, who’s gay. He made a really horrible gay joke. And somehow it came up that I was Jewish. He said something about ‘oven dodgers,’ but I didn’t get it. I’d never heard that before. It was just this weird, weird moment. I was like, ‘He’s anti-Semitic and he’s homophobic.’ No one believed me!”

“Oven dogdgers” definitely sounds like something he learned from daddy.

Incidentally, Gibson plays a troubled husband who adopts a beaver hand-puppet as his sole means of communicating in The Beaver. From the previews I have seen, he doesn’t launch into racial epithets against the beaver, which makes the character way more sane than the real Mel Gibson.

Oscar-winning director Oliver Stone in an interview decried what he called the Jewish lobby’s control over Washington’s foreign policy and said that Hitler’s actions should be put “into context.”

Stone in an interview with the Sunday Times also said that “Jewish domination of the media” has prevented an honest discussion about the Holocaust.

Jewish organizational and Israeli officials condemned the remarks, which were published Sunday.

During the interview, Stone said that Jews were dictating U.S. foreign policy and that the Jewish lobby “are hard workers.”

“They stay on top of every comment, the most powerful lobby in Washington,” he said, adding that Israel has messed up U.S. foreign policy “for years.”

Stone, the winner of three Academy Awards, including as best director for “Platoon” and “Born on the Fourth of July,” has a Jewish father. He also directed such films as “Wall Street,” “JFK” and “Nixon.”

On Hitler, Stone said that the German leader “did far more damage to the Russians than the Jewish people, 25 or 30 million. Hitler was a Frankenstein, but there was also a Dr. Frankenstein — German industrialists, the Americans and the British. He had a lot of support.”

Elan Steinberg, vice president of the American Gathering of Holocaust Survivors and their Descendants, in a brief statement said that “We are deeply offended. These are words of hate and a disgraceful evocation of anti-Semitism. Shame on Oliver Stone.”

Israel’s public diplomacy minister, Yuli Edelstein, also condemned Stone’s remarks.

“They are nauseating, anti-Semitic and racist,” the Jerusalem Post quoted Edelstein as saying. “Not only is he showing ignorance, he is demonizing Jews for no reason and returning to the ‘Protocols of the Elders of Zion.’

“When a man of Stone’s stature speaks in this way, it can bring waves of anti-Semitism and anti-Israel sentiment, and may even damage Jewish communities and individuals.”

Stone recently completed a documentary on Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez and is working on a documentary series about American history.

And considering the treatment Israel gets at the hands of journalists, at least on this side of the pond, if a secret cabal of Jews really does control the media, it must be the most incompetent and useless secret cabal in history.

In the meantime, Mr Stone, Kish Mein Touches.

He can show his antisemitism even when not drunk.

A furious Mel Gibson said,  “I want Jew blood on my hands,” his girlfriend of three years, Oksana Grigorieva, told authorities who are investigating the actor for domestic abuse, RadarOnline.com  has exclusively learned.

It’s a fresh example of the hate-filled speech that has helped make the actor infamous.

The anti-Semitic slur was allegedly made by Mel in reference to a high-profile Hollywood figure who is Jewish and who Mel believed had “publicly humiliated” him.

Gibson hired individuals to place this person under surveillance, Oksana told authorities.

“Oksana says Mel told her, ‘I want Jew blood on my hands,’ and said he wanted the person taken to the desert, stripped naked, knee capped and left in the heat,” a source close to one of the investigations involving Mel told RadarOnline.com exclusively.

Gibson never followed through with his threats.

This is the latest vile remark attributed to the Lethal Weapon star, who targeted African Americans and Latinos in recorded arguments with his ex-girlfriend, played exclusively on RadarOnline.com.

Gibson launched a shameful diatribe against Jews in 2006 during his DUI arrest and said Jews were to blame for all the wars in the world. He asked the arresting officer, “Are you a Jew?”

Oksana has officials investigating Mel for domestic battery, child endangerment and assault with a deadly weapon that the Oscar-winning actor/director said he had the prominent Jewish figure followed by a team of private investigators in 2009.

“Oksana said Mel had hired people to engage in the surveillance of others,” said a source.

“Mel thought this person had publicly humiliated him so he told Oksana that he wanted to break his knee caps’.

“Oksana recalled that she was initially skeptical that Mel could have hired someone to follow this person, but she said Mel revealed in great detail what his investigators had observed from the surveillance.

“Oksana said she was shocked that Mel would engage in such behavior.”
