Gil has the low-down on how the Howard Dean 2004 website has, shall we say, “borrowed” a logo from the IDF Spokeperson’s Unit website, using it to link to the DDF (Dean Defense Forces)! Instapundit has now picked up on Gil’s scoop.
And still on the subject of Democrats, the US House Democratic whip Steny Hoyer has come out in support of the security fence.
“The fence is a rational response to security and safety. To the extent that it stops terrorist acts from occurring, it will further the peace process. Terrorist acts will inevitably undermine the peace process,” said House Democratic Whip Rep. Steny H. Hoyer of Maryland, adding this was his own private opinion.
He spoke to journalists in Jerusalem after the 29-member delegation held separate meetings with Abbas and Prime Minister Ariel Sharon on Tuesday.
Hoyer said that Abbas brought up the issue of the security fence, comparing it to the Berlin Wall. Hoyer’s response was “The Berlin Wall was constructed to enslave people and to keep people from leaving. The fence as I understand it, is being constructed to prevent terror and to provide safety and a context in which the peace process can proceed.”
