Humanitarian Hypocrisy

It is interesting, but hardly surprising, how last night’s suicide bombing drew no response whatsoever from those “champions of humanitarian rights” the International Solidarity Movement. In fact, in a section of their web site called “Statement on Bombings” written in response to the Tel Aviv bombing of Mikes Place that garnered the ISM much negative publicity, they do not condemn suicide bombings at all, but rather attack Israel for spreading disinformation and making the palestinian’s lives miserable.

But they are not alone in their hypocrisy. As I write this blog entry:

Amnesty International have not even mentioned the Jerusalem bombing as news, despite condemning the Baghdad bombing of UN headquarters.
Human Rights Watch have not even mentioned the Jerusalem bombing as news, despite condemning the Baghdad bombing of UN headquarters.

I am surprised they have not condemned Israel for causing the suicide bomber to desire death.
