Arafat’s new National Security Advisor Jibril Rajoub had this to say after Mahmoud Abbas’ resignation as palestinian Prime Minister:

“This (Abbas’ resignation) is normal in a democratic process and it will not disrupt the work of the Palestinian Authority.”
