And still on the subject of the Arab media, Hamas’s mouthpiece, the Palestinian Information Center, have an interesting (read:false and deluded) take on reality. Take this account of the conviction of three members of a group that planned terror attacks:
I love the way that the PIC refer to these guys as “terrorists” or “fanatics”, yet always refer to their own terrorists as “resistance fighters”. And apparently, blowing up palestinians would be “murder”, as opposed to blowing up Jewish men, women and children (which is normally referred to as resisting Zionists). It is also very interesting how the Israelis who helped prevent the bomb are also to be condemned and disparaged, referred to as “Zionist sappers.”A Zionist central court yesterday convicted three Zionist fanatic settlers affiliated with an underground Jewish organization of attempting to murder Palestinians and of possessing illegal weapons.
The three fanatic settlers attempted in April 2002 to explode a booby-trapped car near the Makased hospital and the Tur School for girls in occupied eastern Jerusalem.
The operation was foiled when Zionist sappers detonated the explosive device after policemen suspected the vehicle.
Yossef Baruch, who masterminded the operation, was also facing similar attempted murder charges while another terrorist settler in Al-Khalil, Noam Fiderman, was facing terrorism charges for illegal possession of weapons.
One of the convicted terrorists said after the verdict that he was not sorry for what he had done and that he would not table an appeal.
The cherry on the cake? Mentioning that one of the men was not remorseful, when all reports indicate that at least one of them did express remorse. A case of the glass being half empty and not half full?
