Al-Crapeeza reports that a house dedicated to the memory of Rachel Corrie is to be demolished. What really interests me, however, is this statement by the arab news outlet:
I cannot find any sources stating that Corrie was Jewish. I did, however, find this post by an indymedia “activist” that suggests otherwise:Rachel Corrie was the heroic Jewish volunteer who was crushed to death in Rafah, Gaza, in March 2003 as she tried to prevent a bulldozer from demolishing a Palestinian home.
So I guess we can put it down to Al-Crappeza sloppiness.The Berkeley City Council passed a resolution seeking the investigation of Rachel Corrie’s death in Rafah, Palestine, by an Israeli soldier with a bulldozer. This is meant to bolster the resolution the House of Representatives is putting forth, and Congresswoman Barbara Lee is one of the co-authors of this important resolution. Can you imagine how easily this would pass if Rachel was Jewish??
