Question: What do you do when your four sons are convicted of the gang rape of two teenage girls?
Answer: Invoke the “anti-Muslim conspiracy” defence.
An anti-Muslim police conspiracy was behind the conviction of four brothers over the gang rape of two teenaged girls in Sydney’s inner west last year, according to the men’s father.
A NSW Supreme Court jury today convicted two men, identified only as MSK and MAK, who had pleaded not guilty to nine counts each of aggravated sexual assault in company.
The brothers, aged 25 and 23, now face life in prison.
Following the verdict today, Justice Brian Sully lifted a suppression order on an earlier trial in which the pair’s two younger brothers and a 25-year-old friend were convicted of the same charges.
The men’s father said his sons were innocent and would have to appeal their conviction.
