Far from realizing that the last three years of violence have not advanced their cause, the PLO Arab leadership is actually extolling the virtues of their bloody campaign.
The Palestinians’ armed effort of the past three years has not been in vain, and the political payoff from that murderous campaign is about to realized.
This was the message of “hope” conveyed to hundreds of thousands of Palestinians in the refugee “camps” of Lebanon Sunday by Yasser Arafat advisor Hani al-Hassan.
“Nine hundred Israelis have been killed, but victory will not be determined by the number of dead, but rather by political results and the exploitation of [our] achievements,” MSN Israel quoted the senior PA official as telling the “Palestinian refugees” living in Lebanon.

“For the past three years we have all sownÖnow is the time to reap,” the Arafat aide said. The time has come to transfer the conflict “inside IsraelÖwith the goal of overthrowing Sharon.”
So while the terrorist organizations are still deciding whether to “only” target Israelis living in the disputed territories, an advisor to their real leader is saying that now is the time to transfer the conflict “inside Israel.”
As for the claim that the PLO Arabs have agreed to give up on their so-called “right of return” in the Geneva accord:
He encouraged the refugees, saying the year 2007 would “not pass without our state being [established],” and the PA would hold fast to the “right of return” in the run-up to that day, Hassan pledged.
And the advisor seemed to offer a hint that the terror is to continue for years and years to come:
“The hills of Palestine are waiting for you. In 2007 this current phase will end and you will fill Palestine. There is confusion among the Israelis over what to do with the Palestinians of Lebanon. They want one thing and Allah wants anotherÖ the choice before us is victory or victory.”
But we needn’t worry.
In a related development, Hamas political chief Khaled Mashal told a London daily Israel would soon cease to exist, but the State of Palestine would allow Jews to stay on as a minority in the land.
That is comforting. But I have an even better idea: How about we do not allow the PLO Arabs to get to the point where they destroy Israel?
