The Saudis are at it again, doing more backflips than Greg Louganis.
After being sprung for banning Jews from their kingdom, removing the evidence from the website, dissociating themselves from the policy in the Western media, and supporting the policy in the Arab media, the House of Sword Saud are again rewriting the “Handbook of the World’s Worst Excuses.” This time, they claim that the website was just an experiment.
The head of the Supreme Commission for Tourism yesterday dismissed a US media outcry over a notice on the commission’s website saying Jews are banned from Saudi Arabia.
Prince Sultan ibn Salman, secretary general of the SCT, said advice on the SCT’s website that the Kingdom banned Jews from entering the country was “blown out of all proportions” by US media seeking to portray the Kingdom as anti-Semitic.
He also washed his hands of the website saying it was an experimental site launched in Dubai last year and designed by a private company.
You see, it was really the fault of the infidels.
“The website was vetted out by the company’s acting marketing director, who is British, and a marketing advisor, who is Australian. Unfortunately, the media consultant is based in New York. They put out a lot of information that was not true and also not part of the Kingdomís policy,” the prince said.
Nice going, bugalugs. Refute claims of racism and discrimination by mentioning the nationalities of those you claim are at fault in this incident!
Not satisfied with the taste of his entire foot, the Prince of darkness added that the experimental ban on Jews was also random.
“The site could have said Hindus are not allowed. We could have said Muslims from a particular area are not allowed.”
Could have, would have, should have..but didn’t.
And an Arab denial is not an Arab denial without the obligatory conspiracy theory.
“It is all part of a smear campaign meant to tarnish Saudi Arabia’s image,” he added.
Naaa..I think the Saud’s are doing a great job tarnishing their image themselves.
In the meantime, I look forward to viewing the new Jew-friendly website.
