Yassin’s Greatest Hits

You just can’t make stuff like this up.

Former Hamas leader Sheikh Ahmed Yassin continues to enjoy overwhelming popularity, even after his death. The elderly religious terrorist leader, known for his high-pitched voice and his wheelchair, could never have imagined that he would become the greatest hit in the Gaza Strip. Yet according to reports today (Sunday), sales of recordings honoring Yassin broke records and have practically halted the sales of other popular hits.

He became a great hit, alright. I am now looking forward to more great hits from our Tomahawk missiles, including Yasser Afatrat and Abdel Aziz Rantisi.

Update: Here are songs I would expect to see on this CD:

  • Hit Me With Your Best Shot

  • Killing Me Softly

  • Don’t Stand So Close to Me

  • Take on Me

  • Ashes to Ashes

  • Great Balls of Fire

  • Tell Me Why I Don’t Like Mondays
  •

Update: Reader Larry’s suggestion: Jihad to be You
