The Miami Herald has an article by Claire Mitchel in which she describes going to a wedding in Israel on the same day that Sheikh Yassin was killed.
What I liked about the article was this quote:
Exploring the 20th-century history of that part of the world — with the background knowledge that the territories the Arabs are challenging are those that Israel held on to after the Arabs attacked Israel in 1967, a fact that isn’t mentioned in the international reports of the conflicts — I understand Israel resisting more compromise.
It is nice that some people understand this.
