As expected, Likud Party members have voted resoundingly against Ariel Sharon’s disengagement plan by a 12-14% 20% margin. This represents an even higher margin than was suggested by recent polls, suggesting that perhaps yesterday’s brutal terror attack did play a part in the final result.
While some may have thought that yesterday’s murderous attack would influence people to vote for the plan, this line of thought did not take into account the constituency that was voting.
In my opinion, the Likud members who voted against did so for one or more of the following reasons:
This argument would have played a large part in the result, especially after the brutal terror attack yesterday.

1 thought on “Dissing Disengagement”
Sharon is a man who is willing to take actions that are risky to obtain peace.
Not that the rabid anti israeli western press will ever give any credit for that.
peace is IMPOSSIBLE unless it involves handing the Whole of israel to the murderers of Jews !
Sharon must therefore force a peace down their throats and get out with the 8000 who will be gradually butchered by the pals.
israel has lost enough young men!
Let the pals go back to killing each other Or turn on their saudi, iraqi, syrian and egyotian paymasters and commit Jihad over there.
