The Herald Sun reports about Melbourne taxpayer-funded anti-Semitism hiding under the guise of art.
Jewish leaders demand the removal of a piece of art critical of Israel’s treatment of the Palestinians.
The taxpayer-funded work — in a Flinders St window — lists allegations about the creation of Israel.

The State Opposition and the Australia/Israel and Jewish Affairs Council have labelled offensive the art work funded by an $8000 City of Melbourne grant.
Opposition Leader Robert Doyle yesterday wrote to Lord Mayor John So, urging him to remove the piece.
He said the installation might contravene the Racial and Religious Tolerance Act 2001.

A spokeswoman for the City of Melbourne said the art was part of a rotating exhibition at the Flinders St window space, called 24seven.
She said the council provided $8000 to curator Mark Hilton to fund different art in the space throughout this year.
Here is a photo of the “art,” courtesy of Silent Running:
It says the following:
Since the creation of Israel in 1948
200,000 Palestinians have been killed
5,000,000 refugees have been created
21,000 square kilometers of land have been annexed
385 towns and villages have been destroyed
200,000 settlements have been built
300 billion military dollars have been spent
100+ WMDs have been manifactured
65 UN resolutions have been ignored
Besides being grossly innaccurate blatantly false (200,000 settlements??? 5,000,000 refugees????), where is the artistic merit in this?
Unbelieveably, it has been claimed that the “artist” has pure intentions:
Kiron Robinson, 24seven joint curator, said the artist did not intend to offend anyone.
“The intention of the art is to present another side of the story to a very politically sensitive issue, not to offend anyone,” he said.
Yeah..as pure as Snow White. Since when is this the other side of the story? This is the main side of the story being conveyed by the likes of the media and the UN.
