Not just one, but a few, courtesy of US Congressman Tom Lantos.

Quote 1:

“Arafat is a poison in the region… a plague and a pest who has contributed to the tragedy and suffering of Palestinians and Israelis for a long time..His destructive, irresponsible, and monstrous behavior has brought death and destruction to his people and suicide bombings to Israel. The sooner he fades into oblivion the better of the region will be.”

Amen.

Quote 2:

“It is self-evident that Egypt has all the capability to prevent the smuggling of weapons into Gaza if it so desires to do so, just as Assad could stop terrorists from entering into Iraq if he so willed.”

So why should we believe them now?

Quote 3:

“Bush is an excellent friend of Israel and Kerry is an equally excellent friend of Israel.”

“Excellent” as in “excellent” or as in “excellent”?

  1. Tom Lantos is my representative in the US Congress – he has been California’s 12th district Congressman since 1981 is my personal hero.

He recently defeated Maad Abu-Ghazalah, a Palestinian born in Nablus in the Democratic primaries on March 2, 2004. For more info check:

Mr. Lantos got 74.18% of the vote in a district that does not have a large Jewish community.
