Mark Geragos, the lawyer for accused murderer Scott Peterson, has used some very interesting terminology to describe his client’s innocence.
Defense attorney Mark Geragos on Wednesday declared Scott Peterson “stone cold innocent” of the murders of his wife Laci and her near-term fetus.
I assume that Geragos meant that Peterson is absolutely innocent, but the phrase “stone cold” is generally understood to mean “emotionless.” This is not a phrase a defence attorney should be using to describe his client accused of murdering his wife and unborn child in cold blood, especially when his client is pictured looking emotionless most of the time.
Update: Although there is legal presumption of innocence in any criminal trial, I honestly believe that Scott Peterson did murder his wife and unborn child. This case truly has a touch of the OJs about it.

Agreed. Although Peterson certainly seems to have convinced his parents.
