Western Australian police have arrested and charged two men with the racist graffiti attacks in Perth, including the vandalism at the Perth Hebrew Congregation synagogue.

Meanwhile, racist group leader Jack van Tongeren has denied that any of his supporters were behind the attack, and has appealed to vandals to stop these attacks, since they may be causing damage – to sales of his book.

Convicted urban terrorist Jack van Tongeren yesterday urged vandals to stop their wave of race-hate attacks because their actions were hurting the advertising campaign for his new book.

“Cut it out. Simple as that. They (the attacks) shouldn’t have happened.

“There’s an advertising campaign going on and that’s what we’ve been doing but this other stuff is quite counterproductive.”

Mr van Tongeren said promotional pamphlets had been published on the internet and could have been downloaded by anyone. He said the attacks at the weekend, particularly those against homes owned by elderly people, might have been a conspiracy to damage his book launch.

No word yet from Mr van Tongeren on whether the Jooos are behind this particular conspiracy.
