A Sloppy Start Episode II: Return of the Macher

Following yesterday’s post on Machers, ‘Treppenwitz’ David Bogner alerted the Machers management to their description of him as a “Jewish mother.”

“I appreciate the link… but the last time I checked I still had a ‘Y’ chromosome. In other words, your research department didn’t look too closely at my blog (treppenwitz) before writing the blurb. Good luck with your new venture.”

For his troubles, David received this arrogant reply:

Mr. Bogner,

This the description we have for your blog: Treppenwitz: A Jewish father with blinding flashes of intellect for everyone.

Please let us know which part of this you take issue with.

Sincerely,

Machers Staff

No acknowledgement of the error, but rather an attempt to make David think that there never had been a mistake to begin with. In other words, an ill conceived attempt at the Jedi mind trick. Maybe we should call this guy Darth Macher (or should that be Daft?)

I have also emailed Darth regarding Israellycool’s omission. I have to confess that I have suspicions as to Darth’s true identity, given the omission as well as the snarkiness of the reply to David. But my kind nature forbids me from divulging the name.

Again, I want to reiterate that I think Machers is a good idea. But why do half a job?
