A child holding a gun stands next to Palestinian militants of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades, a group linked to the Fatah movement, standing guard outside the house of their leader Sameh Al Madhoun in Beit Lahiya northern Gaza Strip, Thursday, March 22, 2007. One of the group’s militants was killed nearby on Wednesday during clashes between Fatah and Hamas militants. The infighting between the two factions was supposed to end with the formation of a national unity government last week. (AP Photo/Adel Hana)
Let’s see…we have terrorists standing guard, protecting their head terrorist against other terrorists. Not only that, but a terrorist was previously killed nearby. I’m willing to bet that the area is not really all that safe for children. Funnily enough, the pictured terrorists do not seem overly concerned by the presence of the child, with a (toy?) gun no less. Granted, it’s hard to ascertain the expressions on their masked faces, but the body language does not cry out “adults concerned for welfare of child.”
Update: Now you know why this happens.
