Israeli News Briefs – October 28th, 2007

Updated throughout the day

  • IAEA potato head Mohamed ElBaradei has condemned Israel for “taking the law into their own hands” after the air raid on Syria, saying that Israel should have instead come to the IAEA. Yep, that would be effective.
  • The Israeli Prime Minister has not admitted that the IAF carried out an air raid on Syria, but if we had, has offered apologies for violating Turkish airspace, which we didn’t, but may have done had the raid taken place. In other news, Israel’s policy of ambiguity remains in place. More or less.
  • From the Didn’t Even Seem Like a Good Idea at the Time Department: According to the Sunday Times, the UK Foreign Office has approved the entry of dozens of Iranians to British universities to study advanced nuclear physics and other subjects which could be applied to the creation weapons of mass destruction. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see no good can come of this.
  • The aforementioned Department is clearly working overtime.
  • Welcome to the world, spawn of Amir.
