Most Unintentionally Accurate Headline of the Day

Comes courtesy of Reuters:

Fatah seeks new blood in bid for Palestinian state

The article is actually referring to how Fatah is looking for younger members. But Fatah, it’s terrorist arm the Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, and in fact all palestinian terrorist groups, know that nothing quite cements their leadership credentials like killing Jews.

This is why multiple terrorist groups usually claim responsibility for terrorist acts it later pans out they were not involved in.

Update: Case in point:

An Israeli teenager sustained serious injuries to the head, chest and neck after a parcel exploded in his house in the Ariel settlement near Nablus in the northern West Bank, Israeli media sources said.

Israeli police said the cause of the explosion is unclear and could have been caused by a firecracker during the Purim celebrations.

The website of the Israeli daily newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth reported that the injured boy has been taken to Bellinson Hospital for medical treatment. They quoted the boy as saying that he was trying to open some sort of food delivery which exploded in his hands.

Fatah’s Al-Aqsa Brigades claimed responsibility for sending a parcel bomb to an Israeli settler in Ariel near Nablus.

They said in a statement, “Fighters of the Al-Aqsa Brigades – Struggle and Return Battalion – detonated a new kind of explosive device through a parcel mailed to the Ariel settlement near Nablus.”

The statement added that the explosion came in retaliation for the assassination of Hizbullah’s military leader Imad Mughniyya and the ongoing Israeli atrocities against the Palestinian people in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.

Whether or not Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades actually were responsible in this case, the point is they want to be seen as having been responsible.
