- The IAF struck some more smuggling tunnels in response to rocket fire into Israel.
- Likud leader Binyamin Netanyahu has given Labor leader Ehud Barak until next week to persuade his party’s members of Knesset to join a national unity coalition before he gives up on them.
Updates (Israel time; most recent at top)
10:33PM: According to Ha’aretz, the IAF strike did not kill 2 terrorists as previously reported (8:20PM update) but did critically wound them.
The IDF has confirmed the attack, saying the target was a senior Islamic Jihad terrorist involved in firing rockets at Ashkelon.
8:58PM: Last week, I posted some interesting videos dealing with claims that lost tribes of Israel ended up in Asia.
I say this by way of introduction to this picture of Israeli Navy Commander Adm. Eliezer Marom, who has been in the news for all the wrong reasons.
MK Nachman Shai (Kadima) on Wednesday urged Israel Defense Forces Chief of Staff Gabi Ashkenazi to dismiss Adm. Eliezer Marom after the Israel Navy commander was caught at a Tel Aviv strip club earlier in the week.
Shai, a former IDF spokesman, urged Ashkenazi to fire Marom for humiliating women at the club on Monday instead of setting a personal example. He said the officer’s behavior was not in keeping with the accepted norms of the IDF.

Employees of the Go-Go Girls strippers club said Marom had been there several times before. “He is a familiar face here. We thought he was a Chinese worker because he didn’t come in uniform, and we didn’t know he had a connection to the army,” one said.
Burn!
Meanwhile, does anyone have a clue what this means?
An eyewitness told Haaretz that Marom came to the club by himself, in mufti, and stayed for about half an hour.
8:20PM: Palestinian sources report that an IAF strike has vaporized two terrorists.
8:15PM: The United States has confirmed that UN inspectors had found growing evidence of clandestine nuclear activity in Syria.
8:08PM: The Iranians are continuing to threaten Israel, with commander-in-chief of the Revolutionary Guards, Mohammad Ali Jafari, claiming that Iranian missiles can reach Israeli nuclear sites, and Iranian Dark Lord of the Sith Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei calling Israel a “cancerous tumor.”
8:00PM: Here’s an Egyptian television host who is seemingly anti-violence and pro-plastic surgery.
6:18PM: Ha’aretz seems to be putting the ‘mite’ into Semite (hat tip: David).
6:05PM: Sleezeball of the day: Check out this former Hizbullahsh*t with slicked back hair talk of his past, including his sexual escapades with Syrian prostitutes and 9-year old girls.
All while making bedroom eyes at the flirtatious interviewer.
5:55PM: Heh.
“I’m asking for your help. I would like to meet an Israeli woman for marriage purposes,” Abdullah, a resident of Saudi Arabia, said in a recent letter to the Foreign Ministry in Jerusalem.
“I have heard that the Israeli women are very smart and beautiful,” he added. “I’m ready to pay a dowry of camels, herds or even money. Please help me.”
Dozens of such appeals are received every year by the Foreign Ministry’s department for Arab media. Emails have been arriving from people in Iraq, Yemen, Saudi Arabia and Egypt.
According to Foreign Ministry official Adel Hino, almost all men identify themselves by their full name and are not afraid to leave their telephone number and address as contact details.
The Foreign Ministry recently received a letter from a resident of the United Arab Emirates in the Persian Gulf, who introduced himself as a wealthy man with a fleet of automobiles, looking for a Jewish bride from Israel.
Many appeals have also been received from Iraqi men, who say their dream is to marry an Israeli woman. One of them, a Baghdad resident, even said he is married to four women and would like the Israeli Foreign Ministry to introduce him to another woman, this time an Israeli one.
“I promise you that she will fit in well with the rest of my wives,” he wrote.
“The Israeli woman must have a remarkable image in the Arab world,” says Hino. “The Arab men reiterate in their letters that the Israeli women are beautiful and smart, but we politely answer all of them that with all due respect, the Foreign Ministry is not a matchmaking agency.”
Which begs the question: how many camels are we talking?
4:08PM: Zionist Death FoodTM?
Gaza police said on Wednesday that 55 children have been stricken by food poisoning at a UN school and seven of them are in critical condition.
Police spokesman Islam Shahwan said the children ate food that passed its expiry date. There was no indication the incident was connected to Israel’s closure of Gaza’s border crossings.
The school is run by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA), the body in charge of Palestinian refugees. The organization would not immediately comment.
Shahwan said police were investigating whether the children were poisoned by food provided by the UN or by food they purchased from a shop.
4:05PM: Two Jordanians have been charged over a plot to kill an Israeli factory owner.
9:23AM: Sickening: Here’s a photo of a beaming boofhead Samir Kuntar and his (surprisingly attractive) bride (contrary to the previous update, Pal Today states it was his wedding).
(hat tip: Elder of Ziyon)
5:58AM: Released terrorist Sair Kuntar is getting married to the daughter of a prominent Lebanese family. Guests at the engagement included the head of Al-Jazeera television’s Lebanese bureau.
Meanwhile, Einat and Yael Smadar never got to marry.
