Shavua tov to everyone. Here’s what happened while I was celebrating the Jewish Sabbath:
- Exiled Hamas leader Moussa Abu Marzouk claimed Hamas is willing to restart negotiations for a prisoner exchange that would free Gilad Shalit, and would like to reach an agreement as quickly as possible.
- Dozens of people gathered for a demonstration outside Prime Minister Ehud Olmert’s Jerusalem residence this evening, to mark the 1,000th day of Gilad Shalit’s captivity.
- The PA decided to hold a series of events declaring Jerusalem as the “capital of Arab culture” (despite the fact it is not mentioned even once in the Quran), and Israel blocked them since it is illegal and in contravention of interim agreements between the PA and Israel.
