Prime Minister-designate Binyamin Netanyahu may have obtained the numbers to form a government, but he still faces some challenges.

Updates (Israel time; most recent at top)

8:05PM: Here is a touching report on the effort to bring one of the lost tribes of Israel back home.

Meanwhile, the majority of the world see people like this as evil colonizers, with no connection to the land of Israel, despite thousands of years of tradition and yearning for their return.

6:18PM: From the Ha’aretz news ticker:

16:45      Israel to invest NIS 6 million in Pope`s visit this May (TheMarker)

An ironic figure, considering the controversy surrounding the role of Pope Pius XII during the Holocaust.

5:32PM: According to Shin Bet Director Yuval Diskin, since the end of Operation Cast Lead, Hamas has smuggled into Gaza 22 tons of explosives, 45 tons of raw materials for the production of weapons, dozens of rockets, hundreds of mortar shells and dozens of anti-tank and anti-aircraft missiles.

1:46PM: This clip of Prime Minister-designate Binyamin Netanyahu at 28 years-of-age is doing the rounds.

You can read more about it here.

10:37AM: The Sunday Times has reported that Israel used unmanned Zionist Death DronesTM to attack the Iranian weapons convoys in Sudan, killing at least 50 smugglers and their Iranian escorts. They also reported that the convoys were carrying Fajr3 rockets, which have a range of more than 40 miles, placing Tel Aviv and the nuclear reactor in Dimona (assuming there is one) under fire.

6:10AM: Last month, I brought you news of the Israeli ‘Spiderman’.

Now introducing the latest in Israeli superheroes: Israeli ‘Flash’.

Traffic police in Israel are used to nabbbing young drivers traveling at high speed, yet on Saturday officers on Highway 65 were in for a surprise – A motorist nabbed traveling at 191 kilometers an hour (roughly 120 miles an hour) turned out to be an 83-year-old man.

The elderly speed junky told police he was in a rush to get home.

6:02AM: Here are some highlights from last night’s World Cup Qualifier between Israel and Greece.

Recommendation: turn down the volume if you don’t speak..heck, I don’t even know what language that is.
