The Arab League have threatened Israel: Accept the Saudi Peace Initiative now or it will be rescinded.
The Arab are really new to this whole peace thing, aren’t they?
Updates (Israel time; most recent at top)
10:44PM: Beware the Zionist Israelian Death Goods.TM
What our friend does not realize yet is that one symptom of exposure to our Israelian goods is development of a uni-brow. I guess he’ll find out the horrible truth in a few days.
8:07PM: Ma’an News reports that international mediation efforts over the exchange of Gilad Shalit for 1,000 palestinian terrorists in Israel have failed. Hamas is blaming Israel’s refusal of Israeli to release all 450 of the specified terrorists, as well as our insistence that dozens of the released terrorists be deported abroad.
5:30PM: Does anyone have a live feed of the Arab summit in Qatar? It sounds so entertaining, thanks to He-Whose-Name-Is-Spelled-100-Different-Ways.
Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi stormed out of an Arab summit on Monday after denouncing the Saudi king and declaring himself “the dean of Arab rulers.”
Gadhafi disrupted the opening Arab League summit in Qatar by taking a microphone and criticizing Saudi’s King Abdullah, calling him a “British product and American ally.”
When the Qatari emir tried to quiet him, the Libyan leader and current Africa Union chairman insisted he be allowed to speak.
“I am an international leader, the dean of the Arab rulers, the king of kings of Africa and the imam (leader) of Muslims, and my international status does not allow me to descend to a lower level,” Gadhafi said.
He then got up and walked out of the summit hall.
5:15PM: Here is the Ha’aretz report. And as expected, they cannot accept the findings.
However, the Military Advocate General’s announcement does not address testimonies published by the Associated Press on Friday that corroborate soldiers’ accounts with testimonies given by Palestinians.
4:50PM: The IDF has completed its official investigation into the claims made by graduates of the Rabin Pre-military Academy that IDF soldiers deliberately shot and killed Gaza civilians during Operation Cast Lead, and concluded that they were categorically false and based on rumors.
In particular, the results of the investigation referred to one testimony from a soldier named Aviv, who had said that an elderly Palestinian woman had been shot, but admitted to the army that he had heard about the incident from two people who themselves had just heard a rumor. The army said its probe found that the shots were actually fired at a female suicide bomber.
Concerning another testimony from a soldier called Ram, who had said that a woman and two children had been shot at by IDF troops, the army said that he admitted to not being a witness to the incident, and that according to soldiers who were there, the shots were fired in a completely different direction at two suspicious men in the area.
Meanwhile, I am still waiting for the Ha’aretz report of these findings, considering they placed so much stock in the allegations of war crimes.
4:42PM: Real Ha’aretz headline from today: Netanyahu’s cabinet: so big it needs a new table
Except in the Winter, when the weather is colder.
11:35AM: Introducing Muammar Gaddafi’s new look: The Miami Muammar Vice.
It sure beats his old look: The Gadawful Gaddafi.
9:55AM: Contrived espionage charge of the day: Courtesy of a number of websites, such as Iran’s Press TV, and the Hamas website:
Turkish media sources reported that an email has been discovered in computer of a member accused of joining to the Zionist Organization “Orginnikon”, the e-mail revealed that the Zionist organization is planning to assassinate the Turkish Prime Minister Ragap Tayyip Ardogan.
On Wednesday March 25th, 2009, Turkish court accept to investigate “Coup” case against Ardogan, in the details of the case, Zionist journalist has sent an e mail to the member of the Zionist secret organization in Turkey, informing them that “Mossad” is ready for the assassination of Prime Minister Ragap Tayyip Ardogan.
What is it with sending emails to Israel or the Mossad? We saw it also with this laughable charge against a Yemeni Islamist. Don’t these people know that email is not a very secure mode for engaging in such highly sensitive dialogue? Facebook is way better.
The Zionist journalist in his support e-mail said that they [mean Mossad] support the member, which he called in the e mail “Mr. Dugo”, to assassinate what he called “Islamic terrorist” Ragap Tayyip Ardogan, adding that the President of the Zionist intelligence services “Mossad” “Meir Dagan,” Contacted “Mr. Dugo” to coordinate with him the assassination of Ardogan.
He added that a team of the Mossad agents is ready to do the job, saying that they were waiting for green light from the “Mr. Dugo.”
The same sources said that the name “Mr. Dugo” which had mentioned in the letter of the Zionist journalist may be identified as the leader of the Zionist Labor Party, “Dugo Brenchik”, who accused of belonging to the leadership of the “Orginikon”.
Calling Dugo Brenchik by the alias “Mr Dugo”? What is this? Amateur hour?
The newspaper “Time” reported last month that the Zionist entity is seeking to topple the government of the Ardogan because of their support for the Palestinian cause.
The “Orginikon” is a secret organization, no one know the exact date of its establishment, the first appearance to it was revealed in June 12th, 2007, after finding a weapons cache in one of the regions of Istanbul, 86 members were arrested, the members are still being tried for crimes of the implementation of military activities, planning to overthrow the party “Al-Adala”, and harming the security and stability in Turkey.
The newspaper also revealed that two Turkish militaries were among the arrested in the conspiracy of toppling Ardogan.
The newspaper revealed that the Turkish security services found documents confirming a direct relationship between the organization and the Zionist intelligence service “Mossad.”
So you have to either accept as fact that people are going around acting like dumbasses – sending emails to the Mossad and using their real names – or question the authenticity of these claims.
I should also point out that this is not the first time such claims have been made, with similar claims being made late last year.
A report alleges that Israel’s national intelligence agency, Mossad has been behind the Ergenekon plot to topple the Turkish government.
A secret investigation of detained Ergenekon group members and other studies outside Turkey indicate that Mossad orchestrated coups against the Turkish government, the Turkish daily Milliyet reported Sunday.
The Ergenekon group is a Turkish neo-nationalist organization with alleged links to the military, members of which have been arrested on charges of plotting to foment unrest in the country.
Investigators uncovered evidence that show a Jewish rabbi named Tuncay Guney, who worked for Mossad and fled to Canada in 2004, was a key figure behind attempts to overthrow the Turkish government, the paper said, Fars news reported.
A document uncovered this week by the Sabah daily shows how Guney deliberately infiltrated Ergenekon and another organization known as JITEM, an illegal intelligence unit linked with the police and suspected of hundreds of murders and kidnappings.
Meanwhile, a separate report by Turkish daily Yeni Safak has claimed that Turkish security forces have discovered documents in Guney’s Istanbul house that disclose information concerning suspicious investment and economic activities by certain Jewish businessmen in Turkey.
The businessmen allegedly have significant relations with individuals, political groups and cultural organizations affiliated with the Ergenekon group.
Turkish security forces have detained many members of the Ergenekon group, including retired army generals, politicians, popular lawyers and famous journalists. The individuals currently face trail on charges of plotting to overthrow Turkish Prime Minister, Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
