Lebanese security forces said they had located two Katyusha rockets in the southern district of Nabatiye. While the rockets were not ready to launch, no prizes for guessing against whom their future use was intended.

Meanwhile, things are heating up on the border, with sporadic fighting between Zionist Death CowsTM and Lebanese dogs!

Israeli cows guided by Israeli shepherds have been crossing the border in an act southerners are condemning as a violation of the country’s sovereignty, especially since the cattle is being protected by the Israeli Army. The bovine “incursions” have even provoked Lebanese dogs that have now made it their mission to make the cows return where they came from.

Lebanese shepherds are also very concerned with falling water levels in the area as a result of the straying Israeli livestock.

Ismail Nasser, from Kfar Shuba, described how the Israeli cows have been crossing the border on a daily basis on their way to Baathail Lake without any consequences, while a commotion would erupt if any of his dogs were to approach the Blue Line, which was drawn by the United Nations in 2000, after Israel’s withdrawal from almost all of the south.

As Nasser spoke, three cows appeared in the distance and were soon chased by the shepherd’s barking dogs. As the dogs appeared to close in on their targets, an Israeli Merkava tank made its way to the combat zone only to disappear few moments after.

Updates (Israel time; most recent at top)

11:13PM: Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu has told it like it is.

Palestinian recognition of the Jewish nature of Israel is an essential condition to peace, as well as their willingness to relinquish the demand that the descendents of Palestinian refugees be allowed to resettle in the Jewish state, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said Sunday.

“The key to peace lies in explicit and unequivocal recognition of Israel as the Jewish state on the part of the Palestinians. They must once and for all give up the demand to resettle inside of Israel the descendents of the refugees,” Netanyahu said during a Jerusalem memorial ceremony marking 105 years since the death of Theodor Herzl.

According to Netanyahu, the leaders of the Palestinians must say, “We have had enough of this conflict; we recognize Israel as Jewish; we will live alongside you in true peace.

“As soon as that is stated,” Netanyahu continued, “a huge window to peace will be opened.”

7:40PM: Via PMW comes yet more proof of what I keep telling you: even the so-called “moderates”of Fatah/the PA are not really after peace with Israel, but rather see a peace settlement as a means to take over all of “palestine.”

And there’s more.

It should be noted that when Fatah refers to “Palestine”, it is routinely referring to all of Israel.

Some examples:

1. The Fatah flag still shows the map of Israel under rifles. The same symbol (see right) appears on the Fatah website (http://www.fateh.ps) and other official Fatah publications.

2. Fatah MP Najat Abu-Bakr said in a PA TV interview last year that Fatah’s goal remains the destruction of Israel, but that their political plan is to focus on the West Bank and Gaza Strip:

“It doesn’t mean that we don’t want the 1948 borders [all of Israel]…but our current political program is to say that we want the 1967 borders.” [PA TV, Aug. 25 2008]. Click to view

3. A PA TV educational documentary broadcast monthly since 2007 includes the following words denying the existence of Israel:

“Another section in Palestine which is the Palestinian coast that spreads along the [Mediterranean] sea, from… Ashkelon in the south, until Haifa, in the Carmel Mountains. Haifa is a well-known Palestinian port. [Haifa] enjoyed a high status among Arabs and Palestinians especially before it fell to the ‘occupation’ [Israel] in 1948. To its north, we find Acre. East of Acre, we reach a city with history and importance, the city of Tiberias, near a famous lake, the lake of Tiberias [Kinneret- Sea of Galilee]. Jaffa, an ancient coastal city, is the bride of the sea, and Palestine’s gateway to the world.” [PA TV, August 2007-June 7, 2009, dozens of times] Click to view

4. Muhammad Dahlan, senior PA official, recently stressed that Fatah adamantly refuses to recognize Israel, and that even Palestinian Authority recognition is to have better standing internationally in order to receive foreign aid:

“I want to say for the thousandth time, in my own name and in the name of all of my fellow members of the Fatah movement: We do not demand that the Hamas movement recognize Israel. On the contrary, we demand of the Hamas movement not to recognize Israel, because the Fatah movement does not recognize Israel, even today… It’s required of the government but not of Hamas; it’s required of the government but not of the Fatah, so that this government will be able to offer the necessary assistance, to carry out the necessary reconstruction, to offer assistance to the sick, to bring relief to needy families… This can be dealt with [only] by a government that has relations with the international community, one that is acceptable to the international community, in order that we can work together and benefit from the international community.”  [PA TV March 17, 2009] Click to view

You just need to open your eyes and pay attention to footage like this. Remember Aussie Dave’s rule of palestinian lies: if they are saying more than one thing, what they are telling their Arabic-speaking audience has more credibility than what they are saying to their English-speaking audience.

5:48PM: PA President Mahmoud Abbas continues to be demanding:

“We demand a territorial continuity between the West Bank and the Gaza Strip and will not give up the right of return.”

After years of terrorism, the world should have sent a message to the palestinians that they should be thankful they were not sent packing.  Instead, they have been emboldened by the world’s acceptance of their unreasonable demands, which are a stepping stone to their real aim to wipe Israel off the map.

5:26PM: EU foreign policy (failure) chief Javier Solana has called for the United Nations Security Council to recognize a palestinian state even without a final-status agreement between Israel and the palestinians.

Meanwhile, there’s still no word on whether he will also insist that the palestinians recognize Israel as a Jewish state, which is something they obstinately refuse to do.

5:20PM: Ha’aretz reports:

Netanyahu: Israel never dallied on Iran nukes

There may have been some dillying though..

Looks like he’s favored the ruffled wet look. Although I suspect that may not be hair gel.
