6:05PM: Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan believes he knows who’s behind the death of Michael Jackson.

Addressing 2,000 followers at Mosque Maryam, the Nation of Islam headquarters on the South Side, Farrakhan described Jackson as a “messianic voice” and an “archangel of sound, song and dance,” as he called Jackson a victim of “Zionist leaders,” the U.S. government and the media.
But Jay Tcath, senior vice president of the Jewish United Fund said: “What is surprising and disappointing is how many Americans rationalize and minimize [Farrakhan’s] continuing anti-Semitism.
“Farrakhan has continued to enjoy a respectability and mainstream acceptance that no one else with a 25-plus-year track record of bigotry could ever enjoy . . . he just shows himself to be an unrepentant hater. Blaming Jews by invoking the euphemism of ‘Zionists’ is a traditional theme of Minister Farrakhan’s whenever he wants to blame something on somebody else.”
Citing it as part of a conspiracy to undermine Jackson, Farrakhan said the lawyer told him Jackson had agreed to do 10 concerts but had been booked for 50, and there was concern Jackson would get sued if he couldn’t uphold the agreement.
Farrakhan, 76, also cited the molestation accusation of which Jackson was acquitted as another example of efforts to undermine his success.

Two Qassam members martyred eastern Buraij in obscure circumstances
A website affiliated to Hamas military wing “Ezz Al Din Qassam” reported yesterday that two of it’s members were killed on Friday during a mission eastern of Buraij refugees camp central Gaza Strip.
The brigades identified the martyrs as : 23- year old “Osama Kamal Al Nabahin” and 22 – year old “Baker Jamal Al Nabahin” , pointing out that they were transferred to hospital cut to pieces.

6:12AM: It was reported yesterday that a palestinian woman was killed by her own father, in yet another “honor killing.”
Fadia Jawdat An-Najjar, 27, was killed by her father inside the family home on Thursday 13 July in the Jabalya Refugee Camp, the Palestinian Center for Human Rights reported Monday.
Her father, Jawdat An-Najar, gave himself up to police and confessed that he killed the young woman, after finding her on the phone with what he suspected was a man and evidence of an “illegitimate relationship.”
According to PCHR investigations, de facto government police found signs of torture on Fadia’s body, which was transferred to the Kamal Adwan Hospital in Beit Lahia. Forensic scientists found the woman had been tortured, and died after being hit in the skull with an iron chain.
Finding her on the phone with what he suspected was a man? It’s a good thing he was so adept at using an iron chain, given the reputation of his family was at stake.
Wouldn’t want the neighbors to get the wrong idea.

Riyad Al-Amour from Tqu’a village east of Bethlehem said has been on hunger strike for 13 days following improper medical treatment for his heart and stomach conditions, his family said Monday.
Because everyone knows the best thing for a stomach condition is to starve yourself for two weeks.
