Jane Kiel, a Danish Christian woman living in Jerusalem, ascended the Temple Mount today in honor of the birthday of the Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu. She had a lot to say to him, and thought this might be a way to get Bibi’s attention. It’s as good as any other gambit, I suppose.
Jane finds the Muslim presence on The Mount an abomination. She says:
The only reason why the Muslims want this place is because it’s so holy to the Jewish people.
Interestingly enough, Hamas Political Bureau member Mahmoud Al-Zahar would likely agree with her. Earlier this month, Palestinian Media Watch (PMW) reported that Al-Zahar spoke of “the final promise.” This is a reference to Sura 17:7 of the Koran:
17:7 (Saying): If ye do good, ye do good for your own souls, and if ye do evil, it is for them (in like manner). So, when the time for the second (of the judgments) came (We roused against you others of Our slaves) to ravage you, and to enter the Temple even as they entered it the first time, and to lay waste all that they conquered with an utter wasting.
