As I have documented on this blog, Basem Tamimi of Tamimi Press has trained his children well in the art of parading before the cameras. Daughter Ahed aka ‘Shirley Temper‘ is particularly adept, but son Mohammed aka ‘Sling-shot’ seems to be following in her footsteps.
Besides the images that have gone viral, the children’s interviews with Israeli television reaffirm the depth of their schooling in this art form.
In an interview with Channel 10 (see Aug 30 broadcast from approx 26:15), Mohammed says “I want to say to him [the soldier] that the women who were there were able to strike him and kill him, but they are humane.”
Now see what sister ‘Shirley’ says in her interview with Channel 1.
“We could have killed the soldier, but our humanity does not allow us to kill anyone.”
Clearly someone is feeding them specific sound bytes, and I am guessing it is daddy dearest.
