A few days ago, I posted about the terror onslaught of that day, as well as some of the day’s heroes, one of whom was the Yishai Montgomery, who smashed his precious guitar over the terrorist’s head. Guitar Hero indeed!
Here’s Yishai explaining his exploits.
Enter the Internet. Ed Dvir of Philadelphia set up a GoFundMe page to replace his guitar.
I Ed Dvir of Philadelphia will speak to Yishay to find out which guitars he wants and will purchase them on his behalf in America and will deliver them to him when I go to Israel. I will have follow up pictures of Yishay with his new guitars in a following update.
I have recieved an offer of an an autographed guitar from a representative of a well known musician who wishes to remain anonymous. Alll I can say is that the musician is a rock star in NJ. If anyone has connections with any famous guitarists like Clapton or Santana let me know and I will make sure Yishay gets those as well.
I will be in touch with TOOL and although they are not touring now, we will see what they can do to help their #1 fan who was wearing their t-shirt when he helped stop this attack. Perhaps a meet and greet with the band? I will let you know what TOOL management can come up with.
At the time of this post, they have raised $5780 of the $6000 they are seeking.
As you can see from Ed’s description of events, the fact Yishai was a fan of metal band Tool has been noticed. The official Tool Facebook page posted this:

And others have linked Yihai’s badassery with being a Tool/metal fan.
I am so used to posting about tools who enable terrorism. It is great to finally post the words “tool” and “terrorist” in same post, with “tool” being a positive thing!
In any event, you rock Yishai!
